Hey everyone. Ever since i joined fds- i changed a couple things about my mindset- vett carefully, dont let emotions get too involved too early

Recently i swiped on a guy who looked familiar- id met him once at a university booth where i purchased a ticket from him- I remember us having good conversation then- and I remember thinking hes good looking

Moving forward- texting him has been great- hes been sending me quality texts regularly, good morning / good nights consistently- respecting my time and space etc

Basically- hes been doing great. He’s a a month younger than me and he told me that he doesn’t have a lot of past experience (I believe him- we have a similar background so i know where hes coming from). Hes well liked and respected at the uni and he’s majoring in a great field.

The thing is my mind is low key sabotaging me. My ex was a 12 looks wise- tall, muscular, beautiful and well.. perhaps out of my league- he made me feel like a very beautiful woman in conduct. That experience of 1.5 yrs has really raised my visual standards- and i know not that many guys exist who look like that and have a nice personality. Plus ever since texting me- hes been working out more and going on runs. I get the feeling that hes trying to.. idk impress me which i find . Cute

Im going on a date with him on Saturday and ill update. He offered to pick me up so he can give me a traditional date experience- and hes been very accommodating to my schedule and preferences- ☺️ Im lowkey so glad i got the avoidant attachment bf experience because i will never again fall for that trap Please tell me any experiences you have that are similar to mind. Tell me if im feeling excessively shallow. Thank you for your time
