Went to a house party. My friend invited a guy that she wanted me to meet. Let's call him Potato. There were other guys there too. I spoke to everyone, though I did sit next to Potato and had a nice chat with him periodically through the evening. My friend at one point was trying to tell us that we had certain things in common. I was basically friendly and open, but I also chatted with other men and women at the party.

Time to leave, and I want to give Potato my number, but... I always feel weird given a guy my number in an intimate environment when there are other people watching. Even though I was interested. So I suggested we connect on LinkedIn (we're in the same field) and said let's connect later. And we added each other.
