Sometimes I just wish I were invisible. I love running, hiking, biking . . . the male gaze if I am not looking for a man? Not so much. I thought: Now is my time, with a mask, wearing sweats and a hoodie hood on my head, surely I could escape the evaluating, the sizing up, the reading every bump and curve. But that meme with a woman being checked out in a burka is so true. There is no escape short of blindfolding them. I think they almost prefer us faceless. And the horniness during COVID has honestly just made things worse.
