I just came back from a store I patronize often. Being in a big city, the mask mandates have changed from optional to mandatory when indoors again as we've had a steep increase in COVID cases. As I was walking in I was putting my mask on and an old scrote employee near the door audibly said to his younger coworker "And that's why they make hefty bags, son". Um.. what?? They were both looking directly at me from the moment I walked in. He did not say it quietly. There was no one else in the vicinity.

Normally I don't make a fuss, but I went full Karen and called the manager to make her aware of the issue. I've been going to this store for years and know her. I've also never experienced such an issue, especially not something so blatant. She was not pleased and said she would speak with him right away.

Inappropriate behavior like this is unacceptable, yet rampant. I'm not standing for it any more.
