I didn't feel a void when my ex and I separated (pending divorce). What I felt was more akin to a sense of relief than a void.

Anyone else feel this way?

Needed to see this. It’s so painful going through this. I have been discarded by my narcissist lvm ex multiple times but I always would say “I’m done w him” but knew he’d come back. Now that I’ve finally realized what he is and that he won’t change I found peace and thought I was over it. Last night I really broke down because getting over it means there’s no hope to hold onto anymore because going back to him is never an option again. I am over my fantasy of him but I’m not over the sick cruel ways he has hurt me especially in the last month. It feels empty but I know it’s for the best.

This is so true and applicable to all bad habits. I quit smoking cigs as of yesterday and it’s such a crutch for me but I keep reminding myself I need to be a HVW and that means no cigs! It’s my secret addiction. I will get over it... I will.

I LOVE this. I get extreme anxiety whenever I start to see a what I believe to be a HVM. All of my old insecurities from past relationships, LVM and everything women are told in a daily basis just decide to come and say “what’s” up to ruin it all. Whenever I feel the anxiety come on, I throw it right into this docuseries that I am researching and pitching. I’ll be writing for hours/days, until it’s time for our date and I actually get excited about it! It feels amazing to know that you have far more worth than collecting a bunch of busted ass scrotes, and my own projects help me remember that. I’ve even been loving YouTube makeup and hair tutorials to look good for ME (and my cat). The “real estate” quote I see here often really resonates with me. Edit: spelling

When I ended things with my narcissistic ex of 5 years I felt worthless and empty. I kept questioning my decision and the events that had moved me to that decision. I was in a rut and had people from every side of me telling me my "options". I kept filling that void with pot and sleep until finally I put my foot down, got a second job and started working 18 hour days to save up to move across state. I've lost weight, saved up over 10k and have everything in place and ready for my move in november. I ran into one of his friends one day only to find out hes the same as he was a year ago and most of his friends only hang out with him because of his new girlfriend. I cant wait to put distance between my past and future. The void is only temporary and it's important to try and fill that void with healthy passion.
