I rent a parking spot to this guy. I just texted his girlfriend to ask her some things about our arrangement and payment because the dude hasn’t responded to my emails. This is the third or fourth time I’ve had to do so. I’d be so embarrassed if people were reaching out to me as if I’m my partner’s mother or secretary because he can’t handle his own affairs. This woman actually texted me six months ago to ask if her boyfriend owed me money. I’d be mortified. He has a good job and a nice car, but can’t handle a monthly expense without his girlfriend to help him.

I’m glad she’s on top of these things for my own sake. But I’m sure she could use that headspace and time for her own stuff. I don’t understand why women do this. Being with a man like this is just more work.
