Ok so let me start this off by saying that I wouldn’t date a single dad at this stage of my life. Having kids is a lot of work. I am not ready to have my own kid, never mind deal with the stress and work involved with someone else’s kid.

But at the same time, I’ve somehow managed not to trash single dads. I don’t know their situation and I don’t believe they should be shamed or humiliated for being single dads.

But somehow, men go out of their way to say God awful things about single moms on Reddit. Calling them whores, easy, etc.

And now I understand why.

Having a kid shrinks your dating pool because a lot of people don’t want to have kids. You also become more picky because you don’t want your kid to have a step parent who is trash.

By the Reddit logic, a woman who is a single mom should be grateful for whatever attention she can get because her kid shrinks her dating pool.

NOT JUST THAT. They expect the single mom to be an “easy charity case” where they can just pump and dump with zero consequences and she will be grateful for whatever crumbs of attention she can get.

When they realize that she is more likely to be looking for something serious and is not a free for all for casual sex, they get mad. Very mad.

They think they are entitled to unlimited sex from single moms. When they don’t get it, they get mad. Very mad.
