Trying to explain why we have a specific set of things we find attractive is like trying to explain why you don't like to eat certain foods to people who love them. It's pretty difficult to do and they never accept "because I just don't" as a response, even when it is really the best you can give.
Most of us can't adequately put it in words and expecting us to do that is insane and typically trying to bait an argument or browbeating or guilt trip.

I actually read a book called Why Interracial People are More Beautiful, Breeding Between the Lines by Alon Ziv, a Jewish geneticist.
It explained that we are attracted to people that resemble our parents so that we know they'll be fit to the environment we come from. It's why interracial marriages are rarer.
The book also talked about a lot of other interesting things so I'd recommend it as a fantastic read if you're interested.

Interesting. There’s a famous handsome soccer player in France called Olivier Giroud, who’s married to a woman that many people would call.. well plain. Especially if you compare her to most soccer’s wives. It turns out when you see a pic of him when he was a kid, with his mom, you notice how she look similar to his wife.
I also noticed that Blue eyed men are more likely to be attracted to blue eyed women, imo cause most of them usually inherite their blue eyes from their moms, but as a hazel eyed woman, I had some blue eyed men wanting a relationship with me, and it turns out that non of them had their blue eyes from their moms. Most of their moms had green, hazel and light brown eyes. Seriously lol.
It’s also well known that most mixed men prefer to date white women, but surprisingly the only mixed men I know who are more attracted to white women were those who had their white genes from their moms, it’s only more common cause you see more white women with black men, so more mixed men are attracted to white women, but when they’re white from their father’s side most of them tend to not care, or end up marrying dark women.
