Gah, this is playing out in my life right now. Ended it with long distance bf over two weeks ago and the narc is STILL sending me messages. (I've blocked him everywhere but can't seem to get his emails to disappear instead of getting sent to trash. I'm going to have to open a throwaway email address and get them forwarded there instead.)

This is so common its unsettling. I've said this before, but stay away from men who make long and specific list in OLD about what they are looking for in a woman. These are the kind of guys who get furious if you ask for a change in their bad behavior or communicate something you think is missing, or something you need fulfilled i.e. "I wish you would compliment me more, dear boyfriend." or "Could you put your dishes in the dishwasher please." or "Could we have longer foreplay?" This becomes a personal attack on their 'personality' and 'individuality' and he cries you need to love him for who he is.

On the other hand, every suggestion and complaint they give to you IS an actual attack on your 'personality' and 'individuality'. From how you dress, to things you enjoy or don't. "You need to dress less/more sexy, girlfriend." "You need to stop wearing make up." They call you boring, accuse you of complaining too much if you vent to them about a bad day at work. They will accuse you of being too sensitive. They don’t do emotion that belongs to others. They will make you think you are crazy and have a mental illness and then leave you for it.
