I'm a typical avoidant attacker. I keep people in a convenient distance and I like to make my own decisions without compromises. I need large emotional distance to hear myself. I have one close friend and a lot of acquaintances. With people I usually have my "social mask" (and I don't mean a covid mask) on.

I think I could level up my life by learning getting closer to (some well-vetted) people. I want to learn a secure attachment style, because I think it's the best route to a rewarding relationship. When securely attached, it's natural to avoid LV type of behavior (which is not secure) and attach HV secure style.

How do I proceed? Is therapy the only way? I don't feel I'm in need of therapy otherwise at the moment. How have you learned better, more mature attachment style?
