Small things your HVM does to demonstrate he puts you first?

I’ve noticed that HVM loves to surprise his woman.

He loves to put a smile on her face by planning something or buying something she spoke about or dreamed of. It could be big or small, but very thoughtful.

He derives a lot of happiness from her happiness 💕.

For example, I briefly mentioned that I loved the movie “Bridges of Madison County” and he surprised me with a tour through all the covered bridges during fall foliage.

Things like that!

Whenever we're eating in a group setting, he'll serve me food first by taking my plate and asking me what I'd like to eat

I mentioned a book I wanted to read but couldn't find at the library. Two months later he remembered and it was my christmas present.

I couldn't be bothered to get out of bed but was craving a very specifically made snack. he got up and made it for me

we hadn't been out to dinner in a while, he noticed and sorted it. he took me to dinner somewhere he didn't particularly like but thought I would (he was right), picked the wine I like, and then picked up the cheque

I like these positive threads lately, they’re wholesome ☺️. Let’s see, my husband :

—insists on opening the car door for me and helping me out of the car, every single day when he comes home from work

—brings me my breakfast on weekend mornings in bed (I only eat some fruit, coffee and a protein bar with vitamins but still 😆)

—doesn’t just go out willy nilly, me and our family are his first priority, and we spend a lot of time together. He’s a family guy and homebody for the most part, so he’s not into bro’ing around.

—He tries to come up with fun little dates for us from time to time (it’s hard with little ones)

—He remembers my favorite fancy chocolates and I can reliably expect to get a yummy batch every anniversary and Valentine’s Day.

—on Friday evenings after I’m done running a hectic week with the kids, when he comes home he offers to take them out with him (errands, play stuff, etc) so I can catch some rest and me-time.

—He knows I love Halloween and maple bacon, so when we wanna have cheat days he always brings me maple bacon and we eat it all together, and whenever he sees vintage Halloween stuff he forwards it to me.

I told my bf not too long I craved pizza. He immediately suggested we to go an after work date to this place where we had pizza and a few nice drinks. In the mornings, getting ready for work, he always brings me my coat and helps me put it on. He even surprises me with breakfast and I don't have to ask it of him. He constantly tells me I'm beautiful, loves my stretch marks, insists I'm perfect the way I am whenever I voice a lack of confidence. When it's about our experience in bed, he puts my pleasure first. If I tell him something makes me uncomfortable, he stops it immediately. If I request that we take a break, then we take a break. If he feels I like something, he'll keep doing it. He values communication between us and listens to my input.

Now, of course, this isn't perfection and we still have situations where things aren't always all happy and pink, but, it's never escalated to abusive situations.

He actively listens and remembers things I said. And goes out of his way to surprise me. I mean, legit surprise.

Mine does that too! And then when we switch our orders so we can both try what the other one got, he’ll high five me and say what a great team we make.

He’s really into the teamwork mentality. Like, if I tell him I want him to come over later in the day because I need to clean, he’ll suggest that he comes over earlier instead and helps me and then DOES IT. Or like, if I have friends over for a party he’ll be right there in the kitchen with me helping to make drinks and serve people even though we don’t live together.

He takes off work to take me to appointments (I love in a foreign country and don't have my license here yet) or to take care of me when I'm ill.

He surprises me with little things I love, like a bag of strawberries or a porcelain cup that reminded him of me.

He massages my feet whenever i ask him to without any complaint.

He generally just makes me feel adored and sexy.
