I'd already broken off an abusive engagement at 20... Now at 21, I have no patience for bullshit like the girl in her 30s.
Either you're a king fit for a queen and will pursue me as such (asking me on dates instead of saying you want to "hang out," actively looking for marriage instead of stagnant relationships), or you can get out.

Sure, this is a little extreme. But she's pointing out how most of us were so lax with dating in our 20s and pick up tragic consequences as a result. Then, in our 30s we wisen up and screen the heck out of potential dates. It's only logical and in line with FDS vetting principles.
So, I don't know why you're wondering what kind of dating the OP is doing? Did you read the handbook?

Well according to alot of the screenshots and storytimes on the board, alot of the readers are going through the 20s dating and seeking advice.
I don't see the need for the condescending tone of her comment. Some readers may see it and be going through a similar situation, and not want to seek advice, or just abandon the thread because it isn't welcoming. Just saying.

I don’t literally have my (step)father meet with and screen my dates for me. But TBH I do often discuss with him and consider his opinion in ways that I did NOT when I was younger.
School of hard knocks will teach you that parents may know a thing or two 🤣 Hopefully my 16-year-old son realizes that earlier in life than I do.

Literally me, even did a domestic partnership for literally ten years before I got married and then filed for divorce 6 months later.
