Context/typing style/timing is usually enough for me. I will multidate but I'm introverted so I don't want to be dealing with too many at once, which makes it easier.
I have had issues if the guy hasn't texted in forever - once I accepted a date with someone thinking it was a different person (who I had interacted with more recently), then realised the mistake and had to explain. "Ops, nevermind, thought you were someone else lol" is fair payment for trying to ping me a month later though.
