As a woman who was horrifically traumatised until leaving the home, and not knowing what a relationship was, and proceeding to get into something that perpetuated all that, I can say with absolute certainty men like that rely on women who have no sense of self to keep them company.

He even talks about the "level" of trauma that a man would want in a woman like...expecting us, as always, to be rehab centres for them but wants us to have just enough low self esteem to put up with their shit, but not enough trauma that it may surface outside of the bedroom.
