I'm not a fan of Valentine's Day. But I also want to have fun and be treated well. I imagine many of you feel the same.
On February 13th I always host a "Galentine's Day" celebration. Pink cocktails, pink snacks, and games with wonderful women in my life! It makes me look forward to the week every year.
On February 14th I don't want to go somewhere cheesy and busy. But I also don't want to feel ignored or like he put in no effort.
So he typically gets me flowers or a present and makes a reservation for just cocktails at a nice, romantic restaurant. Then we go dancing or do something else exciting but less cheesy.
February 15th is my special day! I don't know what he planned this year. I think something with a massage, an activity, and a nice dinner. It feels so much more relaxed and like the expectations and pressure dissipate the day after Valentine's Day.
How do you ladies handle Valentine's Day? Does anyone really love it?
