We all know they’re being intentionally misleading. A photo with a dog says, “Look! I’m a nurturing person, capable of keeping a small creature alive.”

Pictures with them holding babies or kids with a tagline Not my kids .... It feels so manipulative. Like they are trying to appeal to a woman who wants to start a family yet 9/10 they are looking for "Something Casual".

Yeah I consider pictures with other women to be a red flag - ex’s especially (ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY SCRIBBLE OVER HER FACE?? WTF??) I don’t care as much if they’re family but in my experience dudes that have pictures of them and their mom are momma’s boys that are way too attached to her, have never had a significant girlfriend and use it to say “look at me! I get along with women!”

I also swipe left on “that’s my niece, not my kid” (it’s ALWAYS niece, never nephew or sibling, etc 🤔 ) because if you didn’t want to confuse people you just.. wouldn’t include that picture....

Nothing but group photos is a left for me. Same if the only pictures they have of just himself are distant, side profiles, or his face is obscured in some fashion. These dudes are deceitful and insecure and WILL make that your problem.

Left on fishing / hunting photos; killing things for fun is not an attractive quality. lmao

Anything negative in the bio like “I don’t know why I’m here” / “my ex broke my heart so now I’m here” / “6’3” because apparently that matters” / “swipe left if you...” / “I’m better than your ex” / anything else that preemptively negs you. The point of making an online profile is to make yourself desirable, if these men can’t stop being petulant, sulky children for 5 minutes I’m SURE they’ll be a bucket of sunshine offline /s

Anything negative or treating a profile like an ordering service.

You get such a limited amount of space in your profile. I'm a positive person, and I want to be with other positive people. If you choose to write something negative, it just communicates that you're probably unnecessarily negative in general. You couldn't even pretend to be positive for like 280 characters?

I also loathe the whole "I am looking for a smart woman who is under 5'9, likes to go camping, has dogs or wants them, blonde hair preferred..." This isn't Subway. This isn't Dominos. You're not placing an order. The "About Me" section should be about you, and it's your responsibility to vet for the blonde hiker with dogs. Even when I do match their "order," I don't swipe left because there's literally nothing about them listed.

I don't trust no man with only his height entered. That is a fuck boy. Might be good for quick sex but quick sex doesn't serve us. Also men with children and dogs that manipulative they want to appear caring get us to get our guard down. I don't like it.

A blank profile with the following: “I’m an open book, ask me anything.” Or “Will fill this out later.”

If the man can’t even be bothered to fill out his own damn dating profile, I already know the kind of effort (NONE) that he will put into a relationship.

Picture with another woman. All group pictures (this ain’t Where’s Waldo, and he’s always the least attractive one). Photo using a kid to look paternal (kids photos should not be online with all the pervs). Anything shirtless. Anything in the gym. Anything in the bathroom.

Anything derogatory, demanding, whiny in the profile.

Guys who are specifically looking for "something casual". The fact that they're not even open to the possibility of anything else is a huge red flag. Dude you're 30+, this ain't college.

The description isn't about them, but instead about what they're looking for. Lol who do they think they are

Men who seem to be sneaking around

If he does not enter his full first name

Men who have sunglasses in in every photo

Men who clearly lie about their age. You're not 29, you're 40, own it.

Men who list their kinks. Thanks for the honesty and the upfront redflag but ew.

For me personally: no college, guys w too many tattoos and piercings, doesn't want kids, has kids, creative careers (I'm too square to date an artist lol).
