This happened to me in college. I honestly thought I was either into women (nothing wrong with that of course) , asexual or depressed. Turns out, sex with my boyfriend at the time was just that bad. LOL.

THIS has been so true. I've always been high libido.

But after 3-4 years, my libido tanked. I even went to a therapist to see WTF was wrong with my libido.

After telling her about my LVM boyfriend, she said, "How would you feel if you broke up?"

And a wave of relief washed over me, and I felt happy imagining it.

It was such an epiphany. Since then, I've been back to my old self.

Yup, checks. With my ex in the last 6 months of our relationship there was no sex. The relationship was on the rocks, and I didn't wanna have sex with someone that was being an asshole to me. As my libido was low it was easy. I actually thought "wow it has been a few months without sex and I don't want any, maybe I am done with sex forever, I lost that need". As soon as I kicked him out my libido just went up like crazy. To the point I went back on the pill to lower it a bit.

Bad sex and lvm kill any sex drive.

The relationship dynamic can be great, but if the sex is bad (and there’s no effort from the other person to improve), I won’t stay. I think being a lazy lover communicates a lack of respect. Life is too short to endure substandard sex just to be in a relationship. I can love myself, if you know what I mean
