I posted this a few months back and feel it's worth sharing again. An older but still good article. The writer of it hits the nail on the head. It's always so annoying to hear feminists screaming "smash the patriarchy!" or seeing them blame things on the patriarchy when it's quite obvious and clear as day such a patriarchy is non-existant, along with their other delusional BS like rape culture. It's nothing but delusional victimhood BS and a way of shifting blame and accounability, not to mention overlooking the actual underlying cause of particular problems and issues plaguing society or certain sects of it.

There was a time women were underprivileged and disadvantaged for sure, but it wasn't due to the existantance of a mythical patriarchy that seeks to oppress all women. How anyone in the 21st century Western world can still be convinced of this is beyond me. Feminists blame everything on the patriarchy and to me this is just as ridiculous as the Right always blaming everything on the liberal media or the Deep State. This patriarchy has much in common with the liberal media and Deep State. What is it? Simple: they're all fictional, delusional BS that exist only in the minds of those with a persecution or victimhood complex. The liberal media is the Right's boogeyman and feminists have the patriarchy as their's. And seeing very real, serious issues blamed on these things is just a way of shifting accountability and being in total denial. It stuns me to see feminists blaming everything which also includes men's issues and climate change (!) on the patriarchy.

I'm really sick and tired to death of seeing the term patriarchy thrown around so much, along with other feminist terms like toxic masculinity, rape culture, boys club, etc. they're just different terms used to vilify the male gender and absolutely no different from how the Alt Right demonizes non-whites and anyone else they deem to be their enemies.

While I'm at it... I'm also fed up to death of seeing "toxic masculinity" all over. Sorry but being male (or female for that matter) doesn't automatically make one a toxic or bad person. Serious issues men and boys face aren't to blame on toxic masculinity, which again is just a term used to divert attention away from the actual underlying issues and just another term used to demonize males. If toxic masculinity exists then so does toxic femininity, and I've seen so much more of the latter than the former.
