'This imbalance in the sexual marketplace is not a good thing. A society teeming with lonely women and sexually frustrated men is one hurtling toward disaster. It is imperative that we, as a society, think carefully about solutions to this burgeoning crisis.'

This whole article is more mathematics and statistics than very emotional or empathic. Of course, that also has its advantages. It figures out how women select men on criteria like height, looks and wealth.

I could think of two possible solutions, though they won't be very popular nowadays: 1. Stop telling women the best is not good enough for them, as it does them more harm than good - tell them maybe their demands are simply too absurdly high; 2. Immediately stop all affirmative action that artificially gives women more money, status and power, but thereby makes the risk of mismatches only bigger.
