I spent hours a day talking an ex through her emotional bullshit, acting like a free therapist while she would just do the same fucking thing 24 hours later.

When it ended all of a sudden I had hours back I never knew I had. It felt like the day had twice as much time and I spent hours a day relaxing. It was goddamn glorious.

IKR. My roommate annoys me with his inane questioning about why I don't go out as much.

I go out at least once a week, I go to at least 4 comedy shows a year, I take at least 2 trips a year. I just don't have a need to go out every night anymore. I did that shit in my 20's. Hell during college he NEVER came out to any parties or went clubbing.

Now I'm sick of clubbing and I hate concerts. I don't like crowded loud places where I can't talk to people and assholes spill their drinks on my shoes. I'm done with two stepping while a girl grinds up on me, that isn't dancing. I like a nice hole in the wall bar with good food that is never packed. But I like drinking at home more, its cheaper, I don't have to wait for the bartender and I never have to worry about driving.

I don't need to go to a new restaurant every week, I've seen it all at this point. Now I just want to order it on Uber Eats to my place that I have made perfect for ME. Even new premium theaters don't compare to my 4k setup, I'd rather wait a few months for a movie to show up on Youtube Movies for $6.

I've been all over this country and to every country I'd like to go to. The only places I want to go now are in books and virtual worlds.

I call that freedom and it is sad seeing people whom I know personally that are married (or have a girlfriend) who have happily sacrificed their freedom for a one sided relationship, that they can't even do something so normal like coming home from work, putting their feet up, watch a movie and relax for the rest of the evening.

Men sacrifice way too much in a relationship to please someone who'll never do the same in return.

i have a job, i do work out, i do martial arts, i work creatively with photoshop, i learned to code in java and powershell, i do read and study the bible, i dont drink or smoke and i dont plan to marry and i like to be alone

yet my family members, who are alcoholics, smokers, fat and uneducated people think behind my back that im lazy or some sort of loser, because i dont want to get married

Remember gents, “lonely” and “alone” are two different things. Our own happiness is our own responsibility. Relationship and marriage is supposed to complement that, but with the way things are that is not the case anymore. We still have ourselves in the end. We can bang whoever we want, go wherever we want, have Saturday night with the boys, and spend our money however we want.
