I stop watching TV when I was 15. That was 8 years ago. In short TV sucks, bunch of beta bullshit and shitty commercials.

Now I'm on YouTube, sometimes on twitch. I enjoy watching idiots destroy their lives on shitbook. Whether by fighting, or killing each other. I stay away from the relationship meme bullshit.

Got a temp free cable period, because I pay lots for internet. Have not had cable in years. I am fucking amazed how far propaganda has come. In between maxie pad and tampoon commercials (and wtf pee yourself pads, women need small diapers now??).

I've been off TV and hollywood shows for about 4 weeks now. Too infested with liberal ideology it's unbearable. I thought it would be hard but guess what? You'll live and even better, you'll thrive.

I've instead reclaimed that time and picked up a 3rd programming language (framework). It will boost my earnings by about 2 - 3 times for each new client I onboard.

When I need to decompress, I'll watch nat geo wild (great reminder that the world is brutal and you shouldn't rest on your laurels and it's manly as hell until they bring on a female narrator for the voiceover) or I'll watch something like crashcourse astronomy on youtube because I'd like to pursue amateur astronomy one day (there's so much work that the guys over at nasa would like help with from random amateurs all over the world - it's exciting).

I cut the cord (Or rather, the satellite dish) about a year back. Zero regrets. Netflix or reading books has made life easier.

I've noted quite a few valentines-themed billboards on the way to work, and on occasion when I listen to the radio in the car, the near constant "Buy that special someone an overpriced rock to show your love or else" advertisements. Seriously? Wouldn't it be nice if she were able to just love you back without you spending any MORE money?

I cancelled the dish after the divorce went through. I still have an antenna for the rare times I watch something live. I have Netflix/Prime, but I choose what I watch, read, or visit now. It took a while for the reprogramming to take affect, but watching cable TV is an alien experience now. The constant ads, reality tv, and stupid wastes of time and money.

I haven't watched TV regularly since the 90s, and never for years now. There's too much shit to read and absorb on the net. I can't even watch movies anymore because I feel as if I'm wasting my time. And no, I don't watch Netflix, but I'll watch some clips of stuff on Youtube; I'm always looking for Norm MacDonald shit that I've never seen before.

I shitcanned SuckTV spring of last year and never looked back. They've got their BS collection agency wanting early termination fees and other garbage, I told them what they could go do with themselves. Picked up the orange+blue Sling and got a FireTV player with Kodi on it. Got all I need and saved over $70 a month.....that's almost 3 jump tickets depending on which DZ you go to.
