Yup. I'm at work for the paycheck. Sure, I generally like what I'm doing and I'll probably be doing some variation on it until the day I die. I'm also socking away as much as I can so that I'm less subject to the whims of my employer.
If I'm at a place with generous policies in general, and which pays $20k/yr more than the alternatives, then I'm going to have to be REALLY put out to give that up over a T-shirt for a day. No doubt half the guys in that photo are still joking about it at lunch.
When I leave my job it will be because I stashed away enough that I can truly afford to retire or start taking jobs purely for the pleasure of it. And I'll probably just take it easy until they finally lay me off and pay me a fortune in severance and probably extra retirement benefits as well. I'd never sabotage my employer or anything like that - but you can work hard like you're on the track to get promoted, or you can put in your time, and I don't really see the latter as unethical in any way.

The expansion of several and various (manifold) "benefits/payments" systems for wimminz -- especially generally misanthropic wimminz (divorced & therefore "bitter" ex-wives; and single-mommy, aka "alpha widow" types) -- enable them to be not only resistant to financial pressures, but incredibly "flighty" regarding maintaining employment.

You still need money to live even if you aren't in-debt.
In my case I could probably go a year or two on savings if I lost my job, but why would I want to? Even if I got another job fairly quickly it might not be at a similar income.
My plan is to make as much as I can as quickly as I can to achieve lasting financial independence, and then I can afford to be picky about the work I take. It probably will only take a few years, but in the meantime it is in my interest to keep the boss happy.
If I were younger it would probably take much longer to get there, as my income would be lower and I wouldn't have assets mostly paid off like a house.
Now, sure the average guy is probably in a lot of debt and they're really stuck, and if they have a wife they have to maintain the lifestyle or they'll end up paying for their wife to have that lifestyle without them around.
However, even if you're MGTOW you're not born financially independent, unless you want to accept a VERY low standard of living.
I get your point in general, however.
Well, everybody has their priorities. If dressing up like a doll for a day means an extra $50k in my pocket that year, I'm that much closer along to the day when I can turn down jobs like these.

It's a design & dev accelerated bootcamp and they have branches all over the world.
