As an Incel, MGTOW and Involuntary Celibates are very diverse. It’s pretty obvious one is avoiding women while the other is chasing after women. Incels and MGTOW agree they aren’t the same. The claim originally came from r/IncelTears where they mock both parties.

Incel’s only come here because, truthfully, I don’t speak for all, but we seek guidance and advice. For me personally I envy MGTOW because the idea that you avoid women all together takes courage, and many Incels highlight it as “cope” because they wish they didn’t spend so much time wasting their life away on people who don’t want them.

I’d put it this way... Imagine having a hobby, or doing something you’ve always wanted to do but you feel held back. That’s the way with Incels, once we actually get laid with someone who actually care for us and love us without paying an escort, we’d be MGTOW in no time. It’s an experiment that’s one and done.

As I mentioned before, it takes courage to do what you guys are doing. You have my full respect, and hopefully one day I’ll be part of MGTOW 👏👏

I think this is the biggest fear for most men when facing the decision to go their own way. A lot of men interpret not chasing pussy as not being able to get it - as some sort of insecurity or flaw. This is probably why this movement is one of the largest, yet, in my opinion, quietest movement there is - because no man is going to go and say to a woman "sorry, I don't like you because I believe all women fall under this generalization" because they won't understand and you'll end up on CNN with a rape accusation.

I think one of the serious red-pills in life is to recognize if your lack of being around women is coming from an inability to communicate with the opposite sex or from having genuinely experienced the opposite sex frequently enough to form a strong opinion on the entire gender. This is why I strongly advocate when I can that someone who is going their own way has had numerous interactions with the opposite sex and isn't just basing their opinion on them being overly shy of women or scared of them. Those who have gone their way know why and have grown just tired of women.

Sure, we may joke about all women being evil and what not but I strongly believe that at the end of the day we are just men who are united under a similar cause that unfortunately, we have to keep to ourselves (or else CNN headline). It's what makes this sub highly enjoyable, especially seeing guys post about their successes after going their own way, getting new hobbies and what not. Makes me happy to know that the path I am going on is not one of failure.

Some of us in the MGTOW community might be bitter--I've got a fairly negative opinion of relationships after a couple of failed marriages, a string of 2-4 year relationships, and 50 or so dalliances ranging from one night stands to affairs lasting a few months. But we're not touchless virgins who lament our fates and thirst after the white picket fence, human contact or even pussy. Nor do we somehow think that we are owed pussy or happiness or anything at all that we ourselves do not control or build on our own.

Many of us are just sick of relationships and are opting out or in the process of opting out. I think both men and women have their problems. I'd rather not deal with women or their problems in my life ever again outside of professional responsibilities. But I certainly don't treat them any differently than I treat men. All people are equal under law after all. That said, I don't think men and women are the same. We definitely are motivated by competing instincts and I think that our thought processes are fundamentally different. Can women achieve the things that men achieve? Who knows? For a long time they never had much of a chance to excel creatively or intellectually or socially. Now that they're encouraged to do so, most of the time they don't give a rat's ass to try.

But the real purpose of MGTOW--you'd probably cynically call it a "cope"--is that we want to control our own destinies. We want to build our own lives for ourselves and for those people we choose to include in our lives. It's about making our own choices rather than have society's expectations stuffed down our throats.

I'm actually very glad you posted this, and especially glad to see people echoing your opinion in the comments. I found this sub a few days ago and after doing research online to see what MGTOW was all about and found it to align with my feelings pretty well.

But then I started actively browsing this sub and saw a lot of posts and comments that felt like incel rage and depression rather than the MGTOW discussion I had expected. I had thought about unsubbing but if that's not the typical conversation that goes on here then I'll stick around.

There's no magic cure for lazy and incapable. Even as a MGTOW, it takes some effort to support yourself, and self-actualization is a great project.
