I fucking hate Christmas too. It's not the people getting together for a Christmas meal and drinks, that's the good part, it's the "have to's" of the holidays. You HAVE to have a giant Christmas tree full of useless decorations that takes hours to set up/take down when something like this works just as well. You HAVE to watch Home Alone (fuck off sister) even though you've seen it 5763 times, yet you get looked at like you have 3 heads if you watch it in July. You HAVE to buy useless presents that no one needs while receiving things that you don't need, just get me a case of beer or a liquor store gift card/bar gift card and we're good. Christmas is fine if you don't make such a huge deal out of it, yet no one can seem to do that

Women love the holiday and decorating, but never are willing to do any of the work for decorating. Shit, they don't even make the cookies and holiday pastries anymore but still expect men to do their part. It used to be that while the guy is putting up the tree and all the bullshit decorstions, she'd be knitting stockings, baking sweets, and cooking a feast. She no longer does her part, but the man still has to do his. A big reason why I've lost all love for the holiday.

It was especially bad for some of my coworkers. Dudes would work 60 hour weeks with an hour one way commute, and their stay at home mom wife would still expect them to get a tree and put up decorations. All that for some pussy and some babies they hardly ever see...

Also the whole "social minefield" aspect of holidays/gatherings that women experience is a huge fucking drag. One of my ex gfs would freak the fuck out about bringing 1 vs 2 bottles of soda.
