I don't watch tv or listen to radio at all. I buy DVDs and listen to music in the car. Even then, you can't avoid the message. I scratch my head how anyone can think women are oppressed when it seems like their problems are the media and society's primary focus. Even when things affect majority men, ie a factory being closed down, the problem isn't that men will be out of work, it's the families that will be affected. Fair enough, too, but how often do you read about issues affecting only men? Probably just charities dedicated to prostate cancer or depression, and I'm deeply cynical of charities given their penchant for paying people to wander around for them doing the square root of fuck all.

Mate I used to watch BBC news every morning until I realised just how dripping wet of a liberal organisation it now is. They despise men, and white men are the absolute worst on the planet if you go by their coverage. I am a much happier person now I have resolved to never watch them or, god help me, ITV etc ever again.

You’re not wrong, I watch the news every morning and the amount of female centric coverage is mind boggling. Women’s issues, women’s achievements etc, I once counted 4 stories in a row on the BBC. Generic news stories seem to be centred around women and girls too, so any bad stuff going on talks to women and girls. I watched aljazzera for the first time instead this week and it seemed general a lot more sensible about EVERY story.

The sad part is that all this complaining and saying they need to be more equall is only possible because the get vailidated by almost the entire society. The goverment jumps in because they feel like they cannot ignore the largest percentage of voters, most men jump in simply because they are afraid that if they dont they will never get a girl, and that is what life is all about according to them. Again a famous quote springs to mind: Good times create weak men, weak men create bad times, bad times create strong men. Men nowadays seem to lack moral fiber so to speak. Instead of standing up for oneself they are afraid that if they do not follow they will be left alone and behind. The thing is that this is exactly what men need to do to protect themselves against the current society we are in. Anyway I agree with OP it is everywhere. Today in a dutch newspaper it said that the Netherlands went down from place 16 to 32 on the equality list between men and women. I thought what the fuck does that even mean? And ofcourse its all about job representation, money earned, ect ect. So fucking stupid.

Best thing to do is just use selective media, and do not watch tv or talkshows or whatever.

Constructive suggestion: Why watch TV at all? It's the media equivalent of junk food: Omnipresent and with negative long term consequences for the consumer. Why not put on a hour long stardusk or barbarossa talk and leave the house/car/plane/train with better stuff on your mind.

Alternative: Music that boots and boosts you up for the day or anything other than TV, really.

TL;DR some millennials are woke

i was in a meeting with my engineering peers; headed by our chief/VP

in an open discussion about -engineering- needs and faults...
a person in the back decided to raise grievance about our company
not providing child-care/day-care/assistance.

in so much that the situation was that this person wished that
they could leave and get their child in the middle of the day, for
a few hours, to see the doctor, or what-have-you.

this person went on to say, that they waste a whole day in trying
to visit the hospital, only to see the a doctor for a few minutes...

the complaint was labeled less so as 'day care' but 'hour care'

the looks on the faces of all the young engineers [millennials, natch] was priceless

the solution looked like this, to this person:

the company should have assistance or on-site medical, to take care of
this person's child-needs. they would get their child to see what was wrong
all while being at work.

millennials; they were basically saying its not the company's fault or their [young generation]
burden to even bother to care what choices this person has made or that these
are the isolated issues of their life... lol-kek

that there is base-line, legal, expectation for treatment at work, but that
ultimately, how you live your life is up to you. the company is not your crutch.

so as to say, you sacrifice to have the life you want; kids or no
those choices affect you and your lifestyle. suck it up.

everyone knows the stats; that the young generation is not marrying or having kids

i felt proud of these young engineers, all gotdamd day. they viewed it all as
having to spend money/time/resources to solve a problem that likely only
affected a fractional percentage of workers, let alone the engineers.

so likely, thousands of year-end raises could be curbed because we spent money on a
solution, that affected ~10 people. kek

those ~10 people could collectively hire a handful of child-care assistants
to solve their problems, for effectively, tens-of-dollars-an-hour. instead
they wanted the company to fund and alleviate their lifestyle choices.

while being respectful, my VP basically said he hopes they find that success at the
next company they go to work for... fucking savage.
