I've posted about this before, but I've decided to post a little bit of the action for you shitlords. In medias res, for you literary nerds out there.

Brief background: I was falsely accused of workplace intimidation at my government job by a female employee. My beta male, supplicating, and stupid boss never even asked my side of things before writing me up (Which is a publicly available record.) On to the action!

be negotiating with government agency employer for settlement agreement after they fail to follow their own disciplinary policies.

show up at their office unexpectedly while on a leave of absence pending resolution to my situation

meet with department HR guy.

he tells me they won't settle and I can return to work.

me "well, that leaves us in a strange place, because with that written warning sitting in my public record, I've got nothing to lose.".

HR guy pounding hand on the table "Is that a threat?? Are you treatening us??"

me "You're the one pounding the table."

HR guy "flustered with the back of my hand!"

me "How do you plan to keep me safe from false accusations at work?"

HR Guy "We think you are safe!"

me "Well, she's already made a false accusation against me, so I'm obviously not safe."

meeting ends

me standing up to leave, proudly with head held high and square shoulders to HR guy "I didn't appreciate you pounding your hand on the table."

HR guy " The back of my hand!"

Me "That was very unprofessional."

meeting adjourns

For those of you who need resolution - I followed the internal grievance policy to the highest level (the elected official in charge) who brought in government attorneys. They reviewed the record and concluded that my written warning was ILLEGAL. and it was removed from my file.

The kicker -- I had received another job offer 2 hours prior to my meeting with the elected official where he handed me the official decision that my written warning was removed from my file. I turned in my notice after the weekend and used vacation time until my resignation date.

If you guys like my little anecdote I'll post more about the situation. It's actually pretty enlightening for anyone who is considering working for, or is currently working for, government on any level.
