What I really hate about that movie is that it has the woman doing EVERYTHING. She can even climb mountains faster than that guy. They just have her all around being "better" than him. He can't even do anything without his "magic hook".
It's just bullshit.
It's on par with all the movies we are seeing of late, where there is a woman surviving until the end of the movie, where they would really be the first ones gone.

Yup, this is exactly it. Women didn't have these movies before -- you guessed it -- they started earning enough money to sustain industry.
If women didn't open up their pockets for Wonder Woman and POC for Black Panther, the film industry would remain the same pocketed industry it's always been. They only make these films because they care about exploiting personal beliefs for profit, the fact that this goes over people's heads is astonishing.

Hold on. Let's be totally neutral here. If women in a country have more money than the men whatever... It means they worked more? I don't give a shit. Every individual is free to do what they like in life. If women want to work 100 hour weeks until 40 and then have a baby crisis then fine. If you want to see how women compare to men truthfully in a physical contest all you have to do is watch American Ninja Warrior. There is no bullshit, no women's tees, no handicap for small size or less strength, everyone competes on the same obstacle course. And the women get SLAUGHTERED. Its so bad that the creators of the show have a rule that the top 5 women advance in each of the qualifiers and the top 2 women advance in each of the City Finals NO MATTER HOW BADLY THEY DO. Otherwise there would be no women at all by the finals in the end. I am glad that this special "privilege" the women enjoy does not impact the men, a woman cannot bump a more deserving man from the best that advance (unless they legitimately beat him). Fortunately there are no special rules at the Finals and everyone competes on an equal footing. The show really speaks "truth to power" and no amount of bullshit can hide the truth.

If you want to see men and women compete in a real life setting, sign up for a single www.flywheelsports.com spin class. Each bike's power output based on resistance + speed (pedal rotations) is tracked on a real time leader-board each class (every class is a race). Bottom line: it is shocking how badly women get destroyed each class. Out of 30 participants the top 5 finishers are ALWAYS all men with a single women cracking the top 10. In other words, when comes to cycling even the most out of shape male in the class usually beats the most fit female.
We all know this innately but it is all the more powerful to witness it in person. Women can't compete with men athletically, period.

It's not just athletics. It's nearly EVERYTHING. Physical, mental, creative... everything. There are a few exceptions of course. Female singers and actors are the best at being FEMALE singers and actors. And I watched a female limbo performer last night on America's got Talent that could do unbelievable things and might just be the best in the world in that weird ability.
Just as the bell curve of male intelligence is more widely distributed from low to high, so is the curve of just about every quality, ability, talent, etc. The best of the best in any possible human achievement will always be men no matter how hard women try to wish this away or twist their ideology to fit a narrative. This is why I appreciate shows like ANW. It brings "truth" into stark relief. Cuts thru the bullshit.

seriously? Atomic Blonde was pretty good. Much better than other feminized action movies. The action sequences were excellent. No "shaky cam" crap that ruined the Bourne sequels. Charlize Theron is about as believable as a woman is going to get as an action hero. She is certainly no daintly little girl. She got thrashed pretty good in that movie which is another thing you don't usually see the heroine suffering. She was excellent in Mad Max so I figured she could pull this one off and she certainly did. I would definitely go see a sequel.
Rey in Star Wars? What a pathetic joke she was. I actually walked out it was so bad.

by that definition John Wick was pretty unrealistic. The best delta force operative could not come close to what he was doing. But the movie was still very good.
At least Theron looks big and strong enough to enable a willing suspension of disbelief (though all those fight scenes with her in high heels was a bit much). Ripley (Alien) was another feminine heroine I could appreciate. And thats all I can ask of the movies. Unlike Rey. A 12 year old boy could kick Rey's ass.

Yeah they didn't pull any punches with how much she got her ass kicked. Is it unrealistic that she would kill all those men? Yes. Did she have to do creative stuff to pull it off. Yep! I think she delivered a pretty good performance that didn't force me to suspend too much belief. Also the team that does the more realistic fast paced John Wick type stunts do a pretty damn good job setting fight scenes and training actors.
