Oh boy, where do I start? For one, I could poke fun at this guy for putting up with her, but the truth of the matter is, he treated her right, and yet that's not enough for her. Also, she claims not to be a gold digger yet she got upset because he didn't reveal he was wealthy. She's upset that having disposable income he quote "isn't treating her."

And just like a magician never reveals his secrets, a man should never reveal his true net worth. Because maybe he's comfortable driving a beat up car and dressing casually. Maybe it allows him to work jobs that pay decently and follow his hobbies and passions. Maybe it's a way to test a woman to see if she loves him for him. And maybe it's also for financial reasons. See, it says that part of his fortune comes from oil and gas leases. We can assume that's dependant on oil and gas prices. When oil prices are about $100 a barrel, you're going to make bank, what happens when it's at $20 a barrel? And what happens if the wells in your lease run dry? And on and on. And just like with any long term investment, it can go bust any day and you don't want to depend on that. Ask any Vanderbilt descendants, and they'll clarify that quickly. Clearly this man knows what's up. And considering that among other things he lives in NYC, another reason to live frugally.

So yeah, maybe he lied, but what's the alternative? Having her nag and nag for him to buy her shit? And three more things. She openly mentions casually how she's on "friendly" terms with exes and even hooks up with them. Another reason to ignore her. The second reason is tied to the first and is that, I've stated it before, but dating inside a particular social circle is just lazy. Especially when in a big city like NYC. If it was say, a small town in the middle of Nebraska, it would be one thing. And the third point. Assuming that NYC is full of "progressives", you'd think women there would be apalled by a man that makes money off of dirty, filthy oil that does nothing but pollute and cause climate change. But no, when push comes to shove, "progressivism" goes out the door when it comes to looking forward to a condo in Manhattan, a new wardrobe, a cabinet full of wine, and vacays in the Caribbean.

Edit: and I want to add one more thing. Isn't it suspicious that partly the reason she's upset is that she's jealous of her friends marrying? At the end of the day she wants to marry for status. Or at least because the patriarchy is making her.

99% of the women you will ever date or meet have an AGENDA

(Women have 100 different aspects to that agenda for themselves & their life at any given age, and you will not find out about them easily.

Their agenda has many complexities and facets. It's like the layers of an onion, there's always more deeper down, and you will eventually have to accomodate that agenda

For younger women (under 40) you will have to compromise by spending for the 'right' ring, getting engaged, buying presents, getting married, buying a house together, and in most cases, having children.

Even if you think you want that future, you have to deal with the 50% chance she'll divorce you in 10 or 20 years, and you'll suffer through that living nightmare of hell

Older women still have their agendas, like "let's move in together" , "we need a bigger house," and " I don't think you should spend so much time racing cars, playing video games, building furniture, playing music, etc"

The real question is do you want to spend eternity adjusting your life to fit that agenda, constantly compromising, and being a slave to whatever cultural and social constructs she wants?

My ex dumped my ass after nearly 9 years together and revealed she'd been cheating on me, she also emptied my bank account and did all sorts of other nasty shit, literally a book's worth of shit she did. Well, she basically broke up with me because I wasn't making enough money or career orientated or some shit, although I made more money than her for fuck's sake, anyway, literally just after she left, I inherited a property. I now live in a place worth over a million bucks... and just imagine, if we were still together, she could probably take half of it. Just remember guys, if she can take it from you, she WILL take it from you. They are NEVER satisfied. Sure, you look around and see some happily married friends who've been together for 10, 20, 30 years, but fuck, I know SO many guys that thought they were safe, thought that they'd be together forever, but no, these women just wait till they feel it is an opportune time, maybe they wait till they think you have enough assets, maybe they wait till the kids have moved out, maybe they wait till your pension starts to come in... you never know, but statistically speaking, you have a very very very slim chance of every meeting the love of your life and living with her in harmony and love for your entire life into old age. Why risk it?
