Women actually cost more. Periods, gossip, drama decreases productivity. Add some sexual charge and even more productivity lost. Maternal leaves.

When I took over my uncle's company, I just hired men. 2 years in, overheads went down, profits increased by 34%. Customers are still the same. Actually lost one big account due to logistics but still reporting great numbers. Uncle asked me how I did it - I just said that we squeezed the top 20% clientele for more business. He was always big on hiring woman lol so didn't want him to get the gist of my doings. Now, wants me to help with the other companies and I am going to slowly get rid of the wymen and blame it on cost cutting.

I recall one of the accountants coming to me 5 times a day just to complain that the thermostat is too cold. She'd wear skimpy clothes while the men were all suited up, so of course it'd get cold. I told her to put on a jacket while I talk to the dept manager. Got him to install one of those thermostat covers instead.

Edit: Actually, PDP has made a fundamental flaw. He assumes that women benefit companies the same as men so that hiring them makes sense. If women don't really do much work and they make drama then companies would not hire them even at a discount. It's like saying would you buy chain saw A) that works and is reliable for $120, or chainsaw B) that only costs $20 but it's badly designed so that it tends to kick back into your face? Given that I like not being maimed or killed, I'll spend the extra cash on a proper tool.

1) If you haven't, you should see the Jordan Peterson podcast where he breaks this down. Women self-select into lower paying jobs like nursing, which ends up decreasing the average pay rate for them. When you look at the actual discrepancy in people working the same hours in the same careers, women's and men's pay only differs by 2-3% or so.

2) HOWEVER, it's my view that women should be paid slightly less from a probability perspective. Women are more prone to not be able to work after a kid is born, that's just a biological fact. There's no physical wear on a man's body when the child is born, and women usually end up having to take some time off to recover, sometimes in which the company pays for it. Makes sense as to why, but still, point is women have a possibility of taking a period of time off that they get paid for (so not only are they not adding value but they are a cost center) that men do not have.

So when you do the probability analysis and say "okay, there's a 80% chance this woman won't get pregnant and she'll do 1000$ worth of work for us then, but there's a 20% chance she gets pregnant and has to take time off, so she's only making us 800$ and also is costing us 100$ so her work was worth 700$" A man, if he does the same work, will always be making that 1000$ because he has no pregnancy risk, so his employment will be implicitly worth more.

You don't even need to get into whether you think men or women do better work, you can just empirically prove the wage gap with some common sense.
