The thing that pissed me off most about my ex is she could make comments to me about anything that was a good ol' ribbing or giving me shit, but nooooo even a slight, totally joking comment and she'd be all pissed/sad because I hurt her feelings. Dude takes all this abuse, specifically "you're a fucking idiot" and is smiling and chilling. Flip that around, especially with my ex, and it's an immediate freakout, followed by a Facebook status about it and weeks of talking shit to her friends about it, inevitably to be told that she deserves better. Everyone's cool with her calling him a fucking idiot, but the reverse and people would be calling you out so god damn much.

Edit: Thinking about it, I lied. This is not what pissed me off most.

Gee she claims a lot of this house I wonder what portion of the bills she takes claim over. it's also quite funny because when the responsibility of emptying the pool comes in, it becomes "Yours,you yours". Making such a big deal over a little fun, guess the slag never heard of a siphon. Dip in pool pour out into window or tub. Done and done.

This was easily the best three minutes ive spent this week. While she was being exceptionally cunty the whole time, i probably would have brought the tv outside with me and set the pool up out there. I also dont live in an apartment so i don't know if he could have actually done so himself.

How was she supposed to win in this situation. I’m genuinely curious. How is she supposed to express that she’s not happy with this behaviour. How is she supposed to make it clear that she doesn’t want this to happen again.

It’s got to be incredibly stressful to come home to your stuff in the hallway and a pool in the lounge when you weren’t expecting it. If you’re paying half the rent then you have the right to be considered before decisions like this are made.

The guy obviously has not thought through how he’s going to get the water out. He has no plan because he says “we’ll cross that bridge when the time comes”. He’s obviously expecting her to help tidy up the mess he’s made. He’s already 5 beers in and you can see that he’s making spills already, when he has the remaining beers in the pool then how is he going to carefully empty and dry the pool without getting water in the lounge.

The fact that he has towels isn’t an excuse. If you spill even a cup of a water on a towel then it’ll soak through.

Even if he does get the bright idea to use a siphon that’s still going to require more than one person. There’s also going to be a little left in the bottom of the pool which is going to be difficult to get out without spilling it everywhere.

I don’t know if I’m taking the comments in this thread too seriously, are these all genuine opinions or are you kind of joking. It seems nuts to me that people aren’t acknowledging that this has to be at least a little annoying to come home to.

I think she stayed pretty calm, I think we’d all be pretty annoyed if our housemates did this without at least letting us know that it was happening first. I would never do something like this without checking with the people I lived with first.
