"(I'm doing some serious crying in my beer over here, except I don't drink. Anyway, my soon to be ex goes nuts last Thursday after I confront her about an affair I discovered she was having. Long story short, she starts attacking me physically. We're talking punching the sides of my head with fists, biting my arms, choking me. I knew any defense on my part would result in charges. She's a pretty large and strong woman. I weigh 150. I yelled, I'm gonna call 911 on this. She responds with: No, I'm gonna call 911 and tell them you abused me. Who you think they're gonna believe? Sure enough, cops believe her, handcuff me and to jail for a day and a half I go. Mean time, she gets a court order forbidding me from coming within 2 blocks of our home (of which most of the downstairs is the all analog studio). So, forbidden to use my studio till trial, possibly by April or May 2016, or sooner if the divorce resolves it. Found recently that she had went to several domestic abuse people throughout the past year and told them that I was an abuser, controlling her etc. etc. so…These people that she apparently had convinced, were more than happy to share details of those meetings with the cops. During the past year or more when we'd have a heated argument, she'd say: "You have no idea what I can do to you." "You're gonna be so shocked" "You have no idea, and I know what you love" (I took that to mean working in the studio). Ain't life grand? Now I'm getting post traumatic stress episodes from both the attack and the detention center experience. I'd never been in jail or arrested in my life and I'm 63."

As somebody who values his own music gear, this frightens me.
