Clarification: this woman is Theresa Kachindamoto, elected paramount chief of Dezda District of Malawi. Her "crusade against child marriages" usually gets mentioned starting in 2015, i.e. the time when Malawi passed a law raising marriageable age from 15 years to 18. For some reason, president Arthur Peter Mutharika gets no credit for this law passed, and for some reason, the former president, mistress Joyce Hilda Banda, paid no attention to the UN data showing high rates of child marriages.

This story is shady as fuck; but pretending that Kachindamoto just decided out of the blue to dedicate herself to ending child marriages in Malawi and succeeded - is just wrong. Finally, by her own words (in early 2016), "I have terminated 330 marriages, yes, of which 175 were girl-wives and 155 were boy-fathers. I wanted them to go back to school and that has worked." So, she's also a MGTOW heroine, saved 155 guys from basically shotgun weddings.
