Donβt date vegans, they refuse to suck dick. Plus they fart too much. And inexplicably all are fat because apparently sugar isnβt meat.
[β]Removing-Desire4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
I have found an exception! this vegan girl takes the meat with the best of them man. Well she still eats eggs so I guess not really a vegan. Because I can't financially provide for a goldfish I become more of the manly "girlfriend" who they like to fool around with and not be embarrassed to be seen with. It's a win win but these flings never last more than a few months as it should be! Still looking for a job though.
[β]Copypastable2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
If she calls herself vegan, she's delusional. Eating eggs doesn't even pass as being pure vegetarian.
[β]-Fender-7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Na. Pretty sure you can be "vegetarian" and still consume dairy and eggs. It's only "vegans" that don't consume even animal by-products at all.
The one that makes me raise my eyebrows are when so-called "vegetarian" people tell me that they still eat fish and seafood, though. As far as I'm concerned, those are still animals.
[β][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That would be a pescetarian, for some reason a lot of them think that fish can't feel pain
[β]wallacescott1000-1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Not that i care much but, vegetarianism doesn't eat any animal related food, ovo-lacto vegetarianism eats eggs and milk related food and the difference between "pure" vegetarianism and veganism is unknown to me.

[β]Mr_Zucchini-1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link
Then you don't know any vegans. You can't congregate a group that you dont even know.
I'm a vegan and when people non-chalantly bash us for caring about the environment and animal rights it gets annoying. People like you, who clearly have no evidence behind it.
And, it's an activism movement based on science. If you are mad at vegans being advocates for animal rights, etc. then you're in for a big treat buddy. Showing someone scientific evidence and the reality of our farming industry is not 'prosletyzing', it's opening unseen doors to allow people to make an informed choice in benefit of animal rights, the environment and health. (all of which is scientifically studied and peer-reviewed; not just claims)
[β][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The thing that gets me pissed off the most is that this sub isn't even remotely about veganism, so I there's really no reason for people to attack it.
[β]DangZagnut3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

[β]Mr_Zucchini-1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
LMAO, This must be irony, right?
You clearly haven't heard of science. People go vegan for many reasons and the science behind it is the MAIN CAUSE.
Your claim is so retarded that you actually contradicted yourself. People go vegan because THEY LISTEN to science and there are countless peer reviewed oxford studies for you to delve into.
Now, go back to crying in the corner retard.
[β]DangZagnut-1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
Vegetarian follows science. Vegan has a morality position and social change component. Usually with beliefs in various forms of magic, but not all sects do.
Itβs a religion. Christians also have βscienceβ which denies evolution and thinks a boat full of delicious animals were rained on 40 days.
[β]Mr_Zucchini0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Dude keep digging your hole.
I've been both vegetarian and vegan for animal rights, you have not. I've even been a meat eater. Your claims are baseless, and it's funny.
You clearly haven't got a single clue about ones decision to change their lifestyle for the better and it shows your ignorance.
I guess MGTOW is filled with retards like this, I don't associate with it anymore. Clearly a toxic incel community.

[β]breathen123-1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Showing someone scientific evidence and the reality of our farming industry
There is more than one way to interpret this data, buddy
Instead of going vegan, you can still remain as onivore as ever, but instead of sourcing food from mainstream meat producers, you can source food from hunters who specifically target herbivore species who just happen to be on an overpopulation stage at an specific area, or you can source food from small time meat producers, who you can verify that they're abiding by ethical meat production
In fact, both options are better than mindlessly going vegan, and still consuming a lot of vegan products which come mostly from monocultural practices associated with the "green revolution agriculture", like soy for example
[β]Mr_Zucchini1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Really now?
So, please tell me why veganism is the single best way to reduce your CO2 output, backed by an oxford study:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/veganism-environmental-impact-planet-reduced-plant-based-diet-humans-study-a8378631.html%3famp
If you think everyone is going to get their meat from hunters, you're living in a fantasy. Plus, animal agriculture takes up 80% of agricultural land for only 18% of your calories - but it's the leading cause of climate change.
Your claims are factless and without research. Dude, veganism is the BEST way to go and you haven't even shown me evidence for why it isn't.
FYI - if you think soy is bad, wait till you realise its production is mainly for animal feed.
[β]breathen1230 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I don't give a damn about those studies anymore, ever since I've learned that their researchers can produce them on demand, to supply them to NGOs, politicians and all sorts of wacky people, who are more interested into finding excuses for raising taxes than actually doing anything for the environment
You may think I'm just too crazy to mention that such big and wide conspiracy theories exist out there, but until you dig as deep as I did, until you do your homework, you wouldn't believe me anyway, regardless of how many evidences I bring to you here
[β]Mr_Zucchini1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Dude, just think about it. These studies do not raise taxes or favour the status quo that is meat eating. It is a health perspective that validly says that veganism is good for the environment and healthy.
I think you're just showing cognotive dissonance because your points are bullshit. Anyways, show me some of your "evidence", preferably not just claims. I'd like to see you walk the walk.
So, you gonna give "evidence" to your claims?
Oh wait, you're full on bullshit. How ironic.

If your ethos is "do no harm", then survival is impossible. Agriculture is very harmful to the earth, from pesticides to land clearing to harvesters grinding animals to soil degradation to draining rivers etc etc. I'm sure most vegans consume things that were loaded into containers and shipped half way across the world to them too, and then transported further in trucks to be packaged in plastic and transported again.
When I shoot a Sambar deer I can get around 100kg/200lbs of meat from it, and it lived free range in a natural organic environment. No pesticides, no land clearing, no harvesters, no soil degradation, etc. Sounds pretty ethical to me.
Edit: Some turbocunt downvoted every post in this thread. When you see that boys, spend a few seconds fixing their toxicity.
[β]GimmeYourJuices0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago* (8 children) | Copy Link
I'm pretty sure ethos is how credible I am. Atleast that's what I've learned in English class. A very common dogma is getting perfection mixed up with reducing as much harm as "reasonably" possible. The premise of veganism isn't to cause zero suffering. The only way to do that is to kill yourself. The basic premise of veganism is that since we don't need to kill and eat animals to survive then why would you?
Edit: This is the lesser of two evils argument yes, but I personally think hunting is better than supporting big corporations who profit from killing animals just because humans think they taste good. In the end though BOTH are very, very wrong. There really is no "humane" way to kill a sentient being who doesn't want to die and has done nothing wrong.
[β]WaywardStag-2 points-1 points0 points 6 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
I'm pretty sure ethos is how credible I am. Atleast that's what I've learned in English class
Ethos: "the distinguishing character, sentiment, moral nature, or guiding beliefs of a person, group, or institution".
The premise of veganism isn't to cause zero suffering. The only way to do that is to kill yourself.
That was my point.
The basic premise of veganism is that since we don't need to kill and eat animals to survive then why would you?
I already answered that. Your vegan choices harm the earth and more animals than my Sambar choices. Sambar in my country are an introduced animal and my government pay people to destroy them because their numbers are out of control and they damage the environment. If I don't hunt them they will be killed anyway, and they provide me sustenance without agriculture being involved.
There really is no "humane" way to kill a sentient being who doesn't want to die and has done nothing wrong.
When I eat Sambar I am causing one death per month or two. Your veganism kills many more animals than that. Not just through harvesters killing small animals like rodents, but also farmers that kill animals to protect their crops. You just like to pretend you're not causing sentient deaths because it makes you feel better.
[β]willofthetrench-1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Harvesters are pretty loud and big, when you hunt, are you being loud or do you stay as quite as possible? Why? Is it because animals tend to run away from loud humans or do they kinda just stay in place to be mowed down? Can you really say some loud harvester is a better killer than yourself?
Most crops are to feed livestock, not humans (let alone vegans lol)
Eating only Sambar deer is really impressive! No other source of sustenance passes through your lips?
Wiki says Sambar deer are a threatened species due to hunting, insurgency, and industrial exploitation. So be careful you don't run out!
[β]WaywardStag1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Can you really say some loud harvester is a better killer than yourself?
I'm not making it up, look the numbers up yourself.
Sambar aren't livestock.
I didn't say I only eat Sambar. I compared eating Sambar to eating a vegan diet and showed that it's incorrect to say that a vegan diet harms less sentient animals than a Sambar diet.
If you can't handle philosophical debate you should stay out of them.
Wiki says Sambar deer are a threatened species due to hunting, insurgency, and industrial exploitation.
That's ridiculous.
[β]GimmeYourJuices-1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link
My vegan choices harm the Earth less than eating meat would. Even if it was more harmful to the environment it wouldn't be harmful to the point where it's not sustainable, even if every person was a vegan; where as meat is rapidly destroying this earth.
Regardless, the point wasn't refuted and it still stands. Just because it's better for the Earth doesn't mean that it's moral. ESPECIALLY in this context.
As for killing animals because their populations get out of control, most vegans don't have a problem with this. If we HAVE to in order to save other species and ecosystems then I think it's morally justified. What I notice though is that people like to take the exception or the small minority and spin it as if it's the majority. As if killing animals because you HAVE TO in order to save ecosystems is an excuse for you to kill and eat meat just because it tastes good.
Imagine that type of logic applied to anything else. "Killing should be okay because what about the small percentage of people who kill in self defense?"
Claiming that veganism causes more deaths than that of Sambar is a pretty hefty claim. You have to factor in things like population biases, consider the amount of plant based foods (80% I believe) that are going to be fed to animals for factory farming, how many animals would be getting killed if most people started doing it, moral implications plus many more things. NO vegan pretends they aren't causing suffering and death to animals and almost all of us are FULLY aware that we indirectly cause suffering and death to that of animals. But we realise that in order to cause ZERO suffering we would have to kill ourselves which isn't reasonable at all.
Is there a MORE ethical, reasonable way live such as Sambar? That is up to you to prove, really.
Edit: You also have to ask yourself, what happens when the population of these animals DO get under control? Then what? And apparently, Sambar populations are being overhunted and are listed as a vunerable species.
[β]WaywardStag0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link
My vegan choices harm the Earth less than eating meat would.
I already showed how that's not true.
where as meat is rapidly destroying this earth.
Now you're circling. Eating Sambar is not destroying the earth. Sambar damage the earth and are killed by my government to protect the earth. You have no argument against my points so you ignore them.
Just because it's better for the Earth doesn't mean that it's moral. ESPECIALLY in this context.
We've already established that "do no harm" is impossible, and if we are to make the selfish decision to keep living anyway then eating Sambar is more moral than the agricultural destruction that you support.
As if killing animals because you HAVE TO in order to save ecosystems is an excuse for you to kill and eat meat just because it tastes good.
That's a very muddled argument. I never said anything about "taste good". Would you prefer the animals that are killed to protect ecosystems to rot?
That's a poor argument. You are arguing "all killing is bad" and the counter argument is "not all killing is unjustified".
Claiming that veganism causes more deaths than that of Sambar is a pretty hefty clai m. You have to factor in things like population biases, consider the amount of plant based foods (80% I believe) that are going to be fed to animals for factory farming, how many animals would be getting killed if most people started doing it, moral implications plus many more things.
How ridiculous. What do population biases have to do with the fact that one Sambar death provides 200 pounds of meat? What does factory farming have to do with Sambar which aren't farmed? What does the number of people have to do with it? Moral implications have already been discussed. "Many more things" is a cop-out. You are throwing out rubbish to avoid addressing my arguments.
NO vegan pretends they aren't causing suffering and death to animals and almost all of us are FULLY aware that we indirectly cause suffering and death to that of animals. But we realise that in order to cause ZERO suffering we would have to kill ourselves which isn't reasonable at all.
Right, and if you ate Sambar you would be causing only one animal death per 200 pounds of meat. If you look up the numbers of animals killed in agriculture, you will see that you are causing more deaths than that. You could reduce suffering by eating Sambar. But then you wouldn't be able to virtue signal and feel superior.
Have done. You ignore every one of my points.
And apparently, Sambar populations are being overhunted and are listed as a vunerable species.
Completely ignorant claim. If the over-population problem goes away then we would need to re-evaluate the balance. Right now, the most ethical food I can get is Sambar.
[β]GimmeYourJuices-1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link
You did not prove that vegan foods are more harmful to the environment. You SUGGESTED that vegan foods are more harmful than Sambar meat. However, animal agriculture has been proven to be the leading cause of global pollution. Land used for animal agriculture is 20x that of what is for plant-based foods. But more importantly the plant-based foods that are less sustainable, of the sustainable, are being fed to livestock.
When I claimed meat is destroying the Earth you were supposed to take it in the context of factory farming, not hunting. I'm not sure if I wasn't more clear on my end (which I believe I was) or you were trying to strawman me or be intellectually dishonest.
You're claim: We've already established that "do no harm" is impossible, and if we are to make the selfish decision to keep living anyway then eating Sambar is more moral than the agriculture destruction that you support
Is just the fallacy of saying that since we can't stop all suffering then any suffering is okay. It's a flawed point of view for obvious reasons. This could be used to justify many different horrible things.
Me stating that killing because one has to being no excuse to kill needlessly was to highlight how people like you try to find moral grey areas and SUGGEST that it's the majority. I still acknowledge that what you are doing is morally justified, it's just that you've suggested that since THAT particular grey area where it's okay to kill and eat animals then all means of eating meat is okay.
I'm not sure how you think that my argument stating that grey areas should never overturn (through my use of killing as an example) the general rule is poor. You're just talking out of your ass now.
You still have to PROVE that Sambar meat causes less suffering than veganism. This is because 80% of crops grown don't go to huamns for consumption, they go to livestock. Not to mention that the amount of people that EXCLUSIVELY eat plan-based products are a small minority of people. About 2%. There are soo many more things to factor in.
Edit: To add, hunting Sambar isn't something everyone can do and I wouldn't consider it reasonable to expect everyone to do so.
[β]WaywardStag1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
However, animal agriculture has been proven to be the leading cause of global pollution.
Sambar aren't farmed. I'm not going to bother debating you because you don't respond to what I'm saying, you're arguing against strawmen. My point is that hunting and eating Sambar is ethical, I have not said that the meat industry is ethical, but you keep pushing that argument on me because it's how you defend your veganism. Weak.
you've suggested that since THAT particular grey area where it's okay to kill and eat animals then all means of eating meat is okay.
No I didn't, you liar.
[β]GimmeYourJuices-1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It's not a strawman. I didn't just refute some random point you didn't make. That was PART of my point. Most food grown goes to livestock. You need to first PROVE that veganism causes more suffering and death than eating Sambar meat factoring in what I stated prior: The animals rhe food is being fed to, the people the food is being fed to, the amount of people who ONLY eat that food, if it's even practical etc...
