That's about it.

But I was talking to a acquaintance afterwards and mentioned that I bought it. He asked if it was for some business I was starting or something like that.

I just wanted a standard commercial van, you know, just an empty box on wheels. No seats, none of that minivan bullshit, just your basic moving shit around van. I wanted it because I want to go spend six months driving around and sleeping in it down by the river as they say. Just tour the country a bit, and take my house with me. I want to blend in and stealth camp in various cities and locations, so I didn't want some winnebago or conversion van or any shit like that, just a multipurpose van. I usually do this in hostels or camping or motels, but thought it would be fun to do. Way more cost efficient, and adventure.

I bullshit work remotely anyway and have been around the world a lot, so I wanted to explore the U.S. a bit more where I am at the moment. Plus, I can give out candy to children.

So then he says "Wow, that must be nice, Sally would never let me do that."

Sally. Wouldn't let him do that. He's not allowed. He needs "permission". Sally wouldn't even entertain the idea if he presented it.

He's not even married.

Somehow, he's not allowed to go on an adventure. He can't buy the vehicle he wants it turns out. They as a couple, have to make a committee decision on what vehicle he can pay for and drive around. He doesn't even have the agency to purchase a device to get between points A and B.

Boggles the mind. They aren't even engaged and he's lead around by the short hairs. It's fucking depressing.

Why men allow this to happen to them I have no idea. Single mother upbringing? Schools filling kids with medications they don't need, I have no idea.
