Not followed this too closely but seems she threw a hissy fit because she fucked up utterly in the vault and was humiliated, abandoned her teammates and flounced away. Team made excuses for her behaviour, saying it was injury related yet she denied that later on. Now she's being defended and praised by the woke brigade.

It's a lack of mental stamina. They were not biologically evolved to have it or the physical stamina that is necessary to be in the top-level of sports. The women who compete at this level are pushing their bodies beyond their evolutionary capabilities, yet the mental stamina necessary to operate at this level is obviously not getting the same training as their physical stamina. The same goes for the men from a physical standpoint, although I would argue that from a mental standpoint men certainly have an evolutionary advantage.

Also, he asked for this. She's not able to handle the amount of pressure on her, even through she was loving all the attention leading up to this moment. It's hard to feel sorry for her in any way. She and the media made this about her, and she failed to represent her country. Part of the whole "thing" of the Olympics is sportsmanship. Someone who just quits because they had a bad practice session and thinks they're going to lose has no sportsmanship and doesn't belong in the Olympics to begin with.

Anyone celebrating her, or calling her strong for quitting when the going got tough, is a fucking idiot. Everyone has a bad day, and there would have been no shame in her going out and losing. There's nothing but shame for her walking away.

In fairness, she's apparently on ADHD medication that they didn't allow her to take to Japan. I'm sure she was even more mentally whackadoo than a normal chick.

This raises another issue: countries compete for the right to host the Olympics; how is it not a requirement by the Olympic Committee that they allow competitors to keep taking whatever prescribed medication they need as long as it's legal in their country of origin? It would be an easy fix. The countries would comply or never host an Olympics again.

They peer pressured her to compete again in the olympics due to all that BLM stuff going despite her not being prepared to go. She accepted and this is the result. That is why they are protecting her image because she did not want to do it in the first place but they did not want to send a mostly asian delegation(politics).

What a disgrace. She's clearly past her prime. Too bad she let her team down. I've always thought the Olympics were a joke, but this is just poor sportsmanship. Love how they lied about the cause to begin with. She'll get all kinds of praise though, talk show invites, etc. They'll probably ask her to be a spokesperson for some pharmaceutical company or charity that treats non-existent mental illness. She just embarrassed our country on the national stage. Putin is probably laughing his ass off at how weak Americans have become.
