Actually, I read an article recently where an Australian man wanted kids. Got three of them at a cost of $40k each for the whole kit - egg provider, surrogacy provider, and all medical costs. To have that for $120k with none of the attacks or bullshit is much less expensive cash-wise - and no emotional or physical strains and stresses at all. The pictures of the guy and his kids look great.

There are many ways. But all of them end with men getting to comfortable and giving rights to women back again.
History is a SPIRAL, and it repeats again, on a different scale.
1 - Religion:
One way men created to keep society from falling to the path of hypergamy is religion. Religion was used to keep women in line and therefore make men willing to work and stay around a woman that was not cucking him left and right.
But religion failed. The last abrahamic religion, islam was a response to the failures of christianity. Women never respected the laws of christianity, they did it only on the surface. Even islam, they dont respect it, they are stoned and covered in sheets, yet they will still screw over society, although for islam it is definitely harder for women to do certain things. So despite my dislike and cristicism of islam, islam is still the only religion that truly had some success long term in keep women in their place, and we talking about the desert, you cant mess around in those circumstances. Some will say that stoicism and buddhism are religions that are connected to mgtow.
2 - Depopulation/A New World/Male drain
These all accomplishes the same thing. It reduces male disposability by reducing the numbers of men, therefore it makes women compete for men, because they have less men. However to achieve this society will go to shit, except of course in the New World scenario. If we could go back to 50.000 years ago, humans lived in small tribes, and male power was exerted by his freedom to walk away at any time. There was plenty of wild resources and places for an individual to run away from any tribe that dared to treat a man like an idiot. You lost that freedom entirely when humans adopted agriculture and developed civilizations with giant cities of concrete and roads that cut through the wild. Right now all you can do is deal with the modern autism of your lost freedom and natural environment. You are born into a prison. You use to be able to live from cycling through different regions and eat from rich wild sources. We were so few in number that we could afford to just eat and sleep, run and hunt. Depopulating the world will cause some of that effect because the less we are the less competition and the more freedom men have to choose where they go and what they do. Hence why they import millions of migrants, to create pressure on all native men and boost the economy, aka slavery. If tomorrow for some miracle there was a second earth we could migrate to nearby, we would create a similar effect. Millions of men would be leaving for that "opportunity" or rather they would be leaving this shithole. When men leave a society in considerable numbers for one reason or another women and the state start bargaining with men not to leave, or otherwise it will become a poor place or it will simply collapse. Hence why open borders are never an excuse to help other peoples.
3 - Patriarchy/Techno Patriarchy.
This normally doesnt work because its usually motivated by female validation. We know from experience that nothing is worse than tradcuck. So if your society restricts female behavior get stability, at the same time the next generations will forget how bad women were so they will become weak manginas and allow for feminism again. Weak men create bad times, strong men create good times...etc... Patriarchy normally results in men creating the conditions that will allow for women to become empowered spoiled brats. Patriarchies are known to demand all from men, which is realistic, but at the same time, its a fallacy, because its power will fade away as men are pitted against each other for women. A techno patriarchy, where technology would inform and explain why things are the way they are, and why women cant be given the right to vote would maybe have better results, it was never attempted, but probably would have the same results as religion, women would quickly adapt and see the flaws and get their armies of simps to whiteknight for them, and soon feminism would come back, and society would collapse. With technology, we can now record how bad things can get with feminism, and how societies decline based on that, so maybe instead of engraving it in religion we can simply present facts. But facts dont matter when you have vagina, and vagina controls men through hormones. We would go back killing each other and becoming slaves of women again, while they reap the rewards and are raped by the winners.
4 - MGTOW/Artificial Womb/Sex robots
Mgtow is probably the smartest and only choice we have. If all men go mgtow, it will mean men will give no jobs to women, will give them no credit in the political sphere, will not white knight and so on. This will force women to become submissive again. But that is not enough because they will then turn certain mgtows into betas again. But mgtow certainly has the same effect, although i think it doesnt aim at that. This would be best accomplished if women were simply taken all their priviledges as soon as the mgtow message became clear, and a kind of worldwide lesson would be learn and stayed forever in history. If society treats men like shit, and treats women like priviledged princesses when they are horrible people, let that society die. And that is in part what mgtow has accomplished in its different versions in history to empires and civilizations, they never learn. If mgtows keep doing what they are doing, that will be achieved, society will get shitty, men will survive, men are experts at fighting wars, women will lose and submit willingly. However it is playing with fire, we have islam knocking at our door, and we have nukes. To clearly save society you have to completely erradicate the emotional way of thinking we have now and gynocentrism, and for that you need maybe the artificial womb. If those things are accomplished maybe we can break the cycle, and maybe men can explore space. Otherwise we will keep killing each other, slaving away and enslaving each other.

Islam is a more complex system than it seems. It is said that islam was meant to keep men at perpetual war, to keep society from settling and therefore getting conquered. Still the Abasids ended the same way most civilizations end, in gynocentrism. You can read about that in Fate of Empires (just 20 pages).
This is a complex topic, and we dont have much experience about this yet.
But from what i can tell, islam suffers the same problems on the long term, however they are masqueraded by war, slavery and a common feeling that religion will fix it, it is the will of allah, they feel.
I can give you examples, this is what happens in islam:
Islam always tends to follow the steps of muhammad, a mix of a rebel fighter, and a benevolent dictator. A group of men strong and determined fight and take over a cucked society, and destroying most of it in the process. These men marry, some of them up to 4 women. Society soon experiences a high from the conquest and expansion. Soon these men get old, or comfortable with their wealth and women. They get weak, and therefore the other men below accuse them of not being islamic enough or being oppressors. So another war starts.
This results in 2 things. It keeps society from getting luxurious and keeps men austere. Gynocentrism doesnt take over but also technology stagnates or even regresses.
But it slowly leads to the same outcome of western gynocentrism. Eventually a group of men rise to the top of society and they adopt less islamic ways to control the population, for example, technology and politics, even though it is still heavily islamic influenced or at least on the surface. Notice that the reason why these men prevail is because essentialy their way of thinking becomes more rational, instead of religious. An empire forms, and a dynasty is created. A lot of non islamic practices and blasphemies start to happen, but because the elite has such a power, and they actually provide stability and prosperity most muslims do nothing about it. Thats when muslims become moderate muslims, muslims only in name, most muslims in the world right now are this type.
This type of muslims are not willing to fight as it is commanded by their religion, are apathetic to infringements from the state when sharia law is concerned, and let things go astray. They become open to women rights and women start becoming more demanding. Then society starts to decline, things get shitty real quick. A similar scenario to western gynocentrism happens, men are still expected to work and fight like true muslims, but women become hypergamous whores who only mate with Rashid, who can afford 4 wives, but actually starts fucking 50. Then men not knowing exactly what to do, turn back to religion, and thats when you have another civil war, and yet another one. Until a new wave of islam rises up and destroys everything, or the society falls for a foreign invading force.
Yes technology is the only thing that can give men a chance, otherwise we are always easy victims of our own nature and hormones. Even if you are not, most men around you will be easily manipulated. My only fear is if technology is used to cuck men even further and to domesticate and genetically select a new breed of men who will be no different than a version of human cows. But i have faith, and believe we men will overcome, and hopefully colonize the space instead of being gladiators for wet pussies.
I think modern Islamic countries like Dubai and Saudi Arabia are giving women rights now. Yes, they will be for a rude awakening once feminism captures inch by inch and then voila they will become completely gynocentric.I hope they take right steps in right time and learn what feminism is doing to the west. As far as technology is concerned, it is an advantage since so many men have discovered Mgtow through it. It is so easy to expose female nature now. I’d say I’m a “Chad-lite.” I had a genuine Chad friend that was rotating 8-10 girls around. He would date one on Tuesday, another on Thursday, another on Friday, etc.

It depends. In terms of his raw sexual attraction (strictly looks), the ugly (or just non-Chad) guy with money could never be considered a Chad.
However, in terms of overall life, he absolutely is a Chad, because he can get damn near anything (reasonably) he wants.
Women get extremely turned on by power like that, and it actually makes him more physically attractive to them.
Money = Power = Confidence. When you have money, it’s very hard not to be confident. I mean, unless you have a micro penis, or are like REALLY extremely ugly. Something extreme. Confidence is something that also attracts women.

It was the modern dating market that led me to MGTOW. I have my own house, decent job, no debt and I work out 4-5 times a week. I've been single for almost 6 years due to women on POF, Tinder, Match etc. telling me that I'm complete untermensch for only being 5ft 8. It doesn't matter if the women themselves were 200-300lbs or 5ft 1-5ft 2, I was deemed complete scum in their eyes for not being tall enough.
It took a MASSIVE toll on my self worth until I realised that if you're expected to look like Chris Hemsworth in Thor to stand a chance with somebody who resembles Chrissy Metz in This Is Us, then that's a game I'd rather not play and I'm a whole lot happier and peaceful with myself for walking away.

Is this a relatively recent phenomenon (women only wanting tall men)? I know they always did, but to the extent they do nowadays is unreal. I don't recall my height (5'7") ever being an issue for most of them in the '80's and '90's (yes, I'm getting old!).

Don’t worry about the height. 5’8” is average worldwide height. But, as we all know, most women don’t ever let facts seep into their fantasyland brains.
I also find that most girls on dating apps are extremely mentally damaged and insecure. It’s always the most insecure girls that start demanding guys be “this” or “that.”
Just remember, height is only one variable/factor in a sea of them. Manute Bol was 7’7” tall, but no good looking girl would date him, because of the obvious aesthetic problem.
I’m about 5’9 1/2 - 5’10” and most girls think I’m at least 6 feet tall. They have no concept of height. In the real world, the particular height of 5’8” isn’t an issue, but online, they can see a number. That makes it easy to discriminate.
