Everything from applied fire science, critical decision making, to the ability to carry a hose is something women cannot and should not be allowed to do. What's fascinating is that by increasing the difficulty in the white man's scoring requirements, the white men that DO make it through will be superior to those who have an easier test. If, for example, white men have to lift 100lbs at a minimum while everyone else has to only lift 50lbs, then the white men will be stronger on average than everyone else.

I think there is a simple solution. If you're into this crazy identity politics stuff, you just sign up specifying the preferred race, gender and sexual orientation you want in a fire rescue officer. You can even get a little wristband showing your preference. If the available fireman is a white heterosexual male and you chose a trans muslim arab, then he gets to leave you and your stuff to burn whilst you wait for someone who fits your requirements.

Problem solved. Same thing with people who prefer female/gay/whatever police officers, straight white officer should be under no obligation to help you if you'd rather have a lesbian asian officer fight off your attacker.

What annoys me is, the fact their action is racism in itself. Showing that the minorities have to pass at a lesser level to become a firefighter or be promoted. Meaning they have established this idea, they cannot be good enough to pass on their own merit.

I’m half black and half white. I spent basically the first decade of my adult life serving as a soldier and firebug. I’m am one of the biggest anti “equal opportunity” people out there. Certain jobs are not equal opportunity jobs. These are life and death jobs. If you can’t carry AT LEAST 250lbs on your shoulder or drag that weight a long distance passed obstacles you have no business even applying. If standards have to be modify or lowered for you to qualify you have no business. You don’t have a right to join these fields. It is a privilege. Man, woman, black, white. If you don’t stack up, find something else. Not everybody can do every job. Sure there’s exceptions. Sure there’s masculine women and feminine men but they’re exceptions. Stop trying to check the blocks and meet quotas. You’re costing people their lives.
