Sorry for the long post. Needing to get this off my chest.

To the women of my past,

Gave the dating scene a good effort in my late teens and early 20's. Majority of you my age ostracized me when I was struggling through college and getting on my feet. Nearly died at 21 and not a single one of you, my "friends" checked in on me. Not one. Not only that, many of you had the audacity to play me for a fool and lie to me.

I'm doing well for myself now. Financially and physically (However I'm not here to brag about my current situation. I've learned life hits hard and pride comes before a fall.)

I've made my peace with my past and I don't hold any hatred towards you or anybody in this life. Just know this lone wolf learns best through experience.

If you happen to cross paths with me in the future, (unless I'm at work) you'll find that my frugal style has not changed. Still rock my tattered chuck taylors or vans and slightly baggy hoodies from the thrift store. I'm not going to dress up for you and I'm not going to shower you with compliments or feed your ego.

Love to me is through thick and thin, rich or poor, or in sickness or health. You had your chance when I was down and you let it go.

I'm not upset that you didn't take a chance on me. I don't hold that against you. You were and are free to follow and pursue whoever you want.

Just please know that lying to me and playing me for a fool (as I mentioned above) sent me through a literal hell.

Giggling among your friends and laughing at me behind my back for asking you on a date with the little leftover money I had after paying for textbooks is telling of your character.

Calling me a creep, loser, fag, and every other name in the book simply because I waived and said hello left me in a dark dark place.

I'm no longer in that dark place, I've learned and grown, and honestly wish you absolutely nothing but the very best. Vengeance is not my cup of tea and does not bring me satisfaction. I would instead like to thank you for teaching me a valuable life lesson.

With that said, the only thing I ask of you is this. Please don't ask me where the good men are at. Just don't.

Sincerely, Carlos
