Being single is a blessing. People always look at the downsides of being single.

- No regular sex, sleeping alone

- No best friend, partner to "share life with"

Sounds dreamy. But, to get that sort of thing you need a woman in the house.

- She can spend you into oblivion

- She's never really happy, it's always fleeting

- You're always being shit tested

- You have to do shit you don't want to do simply because she wants it

- Your life is busy and expensive as hell and how much of it is pleasant? Or even necessary?

- You're made to feel guilty for doing a hobby or playing a round of golf

- You're made to feel that seeing your guy friends is a privilege

- You bring home most the money, but a $400 golf club is silly ($1000 Red bottoms OK tho...)

- Her mood swings - you never know what you're going to wake up to.

- Drama. Drama. Drama. Drama. Who's fighting at home, work, Facebook, church NOW?!

- The sex usually becomes less good and less frequent

- She can turn herself into a waddling mountain of flesh and you still have to desire her

- She can become a toxic, over-medicated, psycho and you still have to desire her.

- You have to "make nice" with her friends, family and other people who you may not like

- You have to suffer through those fake "other married guy" talks at BBQs.

- A lot of your life is maintaining the IMAGE of a married or attached guy, and a lot of THAT is bullshit, lies, and acting. Acting like your shit is together. Acting like you're happy and she's not a burden. Acting like you enjoy all the shit she's dragging you to. Acting like you enjoy being around the people in her life. Acting like it's okay she wants the man to wear the pants for bringing home bank, but her to wear them when it's time to make the purchase decisions. It's all a big bullshit act, and Red Pilled men can see straight through it. Those men are not fooling anyone, possibly not even themselves. But, they know that the "frame" of the married guy is part of the act. So, they "maintain frame" all the way to divorce and family law court. Then they break down in tears in front of a bottle after a woman has completely ruined the life of an otherwise decent hardworking guy.

Gee, The list of suck is ten times longer than the list of good. And you can get most of the relationship stuff by having good friends, good family relations, and a good dog. And if sex is pivotal, you can even get that TOO without marriage or cohabitation.

It definitely has its benefits but objectively there are some trade-offs. Loneliness, no sense of family, fewer people you can rely on, no tax benefits yadayadayada and despite all that it still seems like the better of the two

Getting the vote without having to register for the selective service act is a privilege. Being born into a wealthy family is "privilege". Being single is not a privilege. Nobody "gives you single". Single is the default state of existence.

The choice to be single - the choice to go my own way - is the decision that my own best interests are more important to me than that of any woman's, and thus I am not willing to sacrifice one iota of my lot for any woman's sake.

I do not believe giving anything of myself to a woman, such as time, money, resources, attention etc. because it is not worth anything that she could possibly exchange for it. I see it as a trade within a market basically.

To use a visual example imagine a carnival game where it's pay for play and If what I am asked to pay is less valuable than what the carnie offers as a prize for my worth that is where I simply move on and enjoy the rest of the circus rather than let a con-artist part me from my valuables. It is wiser to just keep your own value and profit from it. If anyone is willing though they can still choose to amuse themselves in the low risk games at the circus just for the entertainment value alone.

Being single is not a big deal to those who have truly gone their own way. It's a choice; and although it's not an easy one given our biological imperative ever pushing us to satiate carnal appetites, it is nonetheless a trivial matter in the greater scheme of things. Man does not walk the earth saying to himself "how does this relate to my relationship status" or "Muh relationship status has X to say about this subject."

Being single is simply a status and it is nowhere near as important as other status in life such as being employed, education, or health. In fact it is the least important. The only thing that tricks our brains into giving it any sense of urgency is our biological compulsion to mate and nothing more. It is this built in need for sexual companionship and intimacy that is literally hard wired into our brains that gives us this false impression that being in a relationship is on equal footing to finding a job or trade or even food. This is what we mean by the Matrix references. It is an illusion of the libido.

Our flesh and brain literally compel us through hormonal and other chemical processes in our synapses to trick us into believing and feeling as though a woman's opinion is on equal footing to that of a judge, parent, boss, peers or society at large. It is the illusion of relationships, this confused belief that being with a woman is urgently important - THAT is the Matrix, that is the lie. Taking the red pill means realizing this and waking up to the fact that our own bodies and our brains constantly undermine both our rational faculties and our will.

It sounds like you are happy with your choice and you are not as closed minded as to believe that your choice of today will guarantee the same happiness tomorrow. Things change. The reason the majority of us are single is because this is what we prefer, it is our choice because it is what makes us the happiest. But circumstances may change tomorrow or in the next 10-30 years and we will then have to make other choices. But the thing that will not change however is our ability to choose. That is freedom and that is one of the pillars in which the spirit of MGTOW stands.
