Some of us, definitely. The question is, what are you contributing to society if you have chosen not to provide for a woman and her children?

MGTOW who work only hard enough to support their own lifestyle are at best a wash. Some MGTOW of course are still motivated to work hard, invest, and contribute to their communities, so they may still be useful, but in either case MGTOW are an example to other men that they might be better off opting out of their role as providers for women and the next generation.

Society needs men to be net producers, because that's what enables women to be net consumers and helps provide for the growth and progress that support the prevailing power structure. Somewhat in line with your question, it is worth it to society to work men into an early grave before they flip into net consumers in old age.

At one time we understood that giving men incentives in the form of monogamy and the family unit encouraged them to act in a way that benefited society as a whole. Now that those incentives have been destroyed, it seems like society is at a loss as to what to do.

Outside of that, play life like a video game. If you're looking for purpose or goals, you're playing inside a system that won't work. So play outside it. Way more fun.

Those people sound boring. I kept putting off the idea of having kids, 25, 30 and then around 35 I realized never wanted them and didn't want to marry. Somewhere in the last 5 to 6 years, I became a lot happier I didn't have kids. Kids might be OK, but society is fucked up right now and I wouldn't want society to get their hands on any children I might have had.

Your value as a man is in what you do and not on who you do. The labor and skills we trade are our true value to society. A horse is not valuable for it's company, it is valuable for it's ability to pull a damned cart. Remember, we are just utilities to society, our worth is based on the scarcity of our skills, thus if you posses rare skills or talents or if you are just willing to do a job that nobody else wants to do that in itself gives you value which we can then trade for a wage.

Nobody gives a fuck if you have kids or a wife, in fact, in the corporate world single men are an asset: No family to divide their time or their loyalty with. Men who have to take time off work to take care of a family are usually shit employees and very often their work suffers when the nag at home henpecks them and they bring their demoralized attitude to work. I have fired a few men over the years for this reason, the women in their lives cause their work to suffer and from a business point of view they are less valuable and prone to replacement for a better man who can do the job uninterrupted with personal female drama.

I feel you. I'm a 42 year old MGTOW, and some of my coworkers always ask me why I don't have a wife and kids.

If you go "Yeah I need to head off, coz my cat is waiting for me", people think you're a freak.
If you go "yeah I need to head off, coz my wife and kids are waiting for me", people think you're a good husband and father. I solved the problem by simply referring to my cat as my "wife and kids".

It's ok. Don't make them understand anything because they often won't be able to fathom this thing. Their little minds are tied to family duties and financial troubles. Add political decisions and you've got men who'll just partake in this maze of life created by society. Rise above them spiritually and live life peacefully, if possible do some charity or voluntary work, to show other men how being unmarried may actually solve a lot of problems.
