So, I discovered MRP a couple weeks ago. I had just finished reading MMSLP and somehow stumbled upon TRP and MRP.

I'm pretty much a Nice Guy, low respect from the wife...although not a pushover. I definitely call her on shit. I think for me it's not that I'm afraid of standing up and taking control...it's just that I didn't see some of the things she was doing as disrespectful or controlling and didn't realize how Beta I was being. Sex has been once a week at most...but over the last year or two its probably averaged once every 2 weeks...sometimes as long as 3 weeks. And it hasn't been good. Part of the problem is that she has been in therapy for childhood sexual abuse for a couple years now...but I know that my beta-ness has played a part in low attraction and sex drive. She didn't have any memory of the abuse until our son was born...and that's when she shut down.

Anyways, I have begun the dread games. Working out was something I had already been doing for awhile now, so I'm continuing that. I've been a lot more sexual and flirty with her, slapping her ass and being suggestive. Then just coming onto her sometime after our toddler is in bed. It hasn't exactly been received well. It worked okay for a few days, we had "meh" sex twice in 3 days. But then when I initiated on day 5, she gave a no in a way that I knew she wasn't going to be fun at all even if I did push, so I went to doing some stuff for work that I had to do anyways. She proceeded to want to talk to me about some stuff and I half listened while working and then told her what I decided we should do about the situation she wanted to talk about. She didn't like the fact that I just abruptly told her how it was going to be instead of talking about it and discussing. I had the information I needed, it was a financial decision, so there was nothing further to discuss. She got all pissy and ignored me the rest of the night. I stay pleasant and aloof.

So, the next night (Friday), I come onto her and tell her we're having sex and she gives me a hard no with a pissy face, saying that she's still mad from the previous night. I get off and get ready I tell her I'm going out to have some fun since she's obviously not going to be fun and just leave. She flipped her shit over that, since I didn't tell her where I was going and the hamster was about to have a heart attack from spinning so hard. Mind you, this is after I took the day off from work so I could watch our son and she could go to a conference thing for her MLM business (she's a SAHM). And, I was going to be watching him the whole weekend during the conference.

Since then she has said that our marriage is in a crisis, that one of us needs to move out. She's being bat shit crazy. She's saying I'm fake because I'm being happy as a clam through all this...I'm living life and having fun. I have a great job, bought a house last year and just bought a new SUV for our family car. I provide well. I am a very engaged father to our son and I've been as supportive as possible while she deals with her abuse shit.

Today she said that she wants to take our son to Arkansas for a few days this week (we live in Dallas) to get some time apart. She told another friend of ours yesterday that she's thinking we're getting a divorce...ckearly she's crazy...its only been a friggin week ish since i started setting new boundaries. She has friends up in Arkansas she would stay with...they aren't people I particularly like very much. I think they aren't very good friends. I'm trying to figure out if that's a good idea. Thoughts, gentlemen?
