There is nothing wrong with doing housework or with a man cleaning the toilets, doing the laundry or picking up the house. That is what we call being an independent adult.

What IS wrong is if the chores are done with the expectation of gratitude, sex, or any other tangible validation.

TLDR: The problem isn't "Choreplay." The problem is the Covert Contract you had when you were doing the necessary chore. NO COVERT CONTRACTS!

The only thing a man really needs to do in the house is fix the things he promises he will fix.

In fact, a key element of becoming the unicorn "Alpha Bucks" is to not just promise to fix it, but to fix it now.

I can not believe how many guys I know who are married with dead bedrooms but have plenty of time to play video games or watch porn while their homes are falling apart due to lack of maintenance.

It isn't choreplay, though. It's common sense.

I like to do household chores, I live alone. If I ever find myself for whatever bizarre reason living together with a woman, I'd like to continue that at least partially. There's a difference between keeping your living space clean and being a Good Boy^tm hoping to get sex

I think it depends on why you are doing the chore. I cook in our house, mostly because I like to, and I'm good at it. The article is accurate in that it states that women do more housework because they typically care more. I know I don't care if there are dishes in the sink, but to your point if something is broken or the lawn looks like crap, that drives me crazy. I can also sew, and patch my own hunting gear regularly. I do a lot with the children as well, baths, bed, etc..... but I do it because I am their father and want to, not because my wife told me to. You're ensuring that you aren't becoming her servant, not flat refusing to help. Think of it, if your best friend asked you to help with it would you?

I have to say, over my 15 yrs marriage I have done many a chores, for example, the kitchen is my temple. I shop, plan, cook, and clean. Partly because my wife would burn water when entering my temple, and thats unacceptable.

But unfortunately no, I dont get tingles out of her. Not in the slightest for keeping my temple fully stocked, clean and filled with treasures of the belly.

What I do get tingles out of is when I do manly type shit around the house. For instance sanding and refinishing my hardwood floors. Installing new hardwood floors in my kitchen and breakfast nook. Installing tile in the foyer. Doing her breaks on her expedition, hardcore yard work like last weekend when I dug out 3 old ass bushes in the back yard, roots and all. That stuff drives her mad. Usually she comes in with compliments how I look hot and how my muscles bulge, and then it ends up in the bedroom where I proceed to pillage her. But I understand that not all women respond to shit like this like she does, but mine sure does.
