AITA for judging my generation

You are not an asshole you just miss a important piece of knowledge.

Generalization have all the rights to exist but in the end humans are so individual that no matter what trait you give to a group of people, there is one individual in this group who is the exact opposite.

What I want to say with this, is look carefully around with what type of humans you spend your time. If you feel disgusted by their behavior avoid interactions. There is plenty of good people in your generation.

There is a huge selection bias going, here. Instagram is not exactly the place where you are the most likely to encounter the young Einstein and Marie Curie.

It is a platform that rewards shallowness, and so, it is shallow people you find on it.

Do like most of the people you would like to meet and see, and stay away from those. Focus on yourself, stay away from the internet and its cancerous social medias.

The previous generations were not necessarily much better, bit it was certainly much less exposed widely for the whole world to see.

Technology can be a wonderful thing, but it can be described as a super enhancer. It takes everything to the extreme.

Someone smart and hardworking, aided by technology, can become even smarter and achieve even more. Someone stupid and lazy can indulge into even more stupidity and laziness.

Take a pick on what you want for yourself, although it might be good to remember that anything can become toxic when taken to the extreme.

All generations have degenerates. All generations had higher degeneracy when they were between 18-23.

It's just that this generation has a platform to broadcast it, and they're currently 18-23, and they happen to be people you're personally immersed in.

Something to keep in mind is that historically women have had their sexuality suppressed for generations. It’s not surprising to me that in a day where women can freely be as sexual as they want that some of them would choose to take it to extremes. If it’s working for them then more power to them.

Well think of it like this. Lots of women get judged for dancing provocatively or being sexual. That's why it might feel good to do that. Because it makes you feel free.
