Have no plans and feeling great!

Not great. I’ve realised I’m 30 in a few weeks. I’m still jobless, living at home with my parents, having no social life, no possibilities, extremely lonely and still reliant on my parents like a child. I’m just so very depressed, tired, drained and full of despair. I don’t know how much longer I can do this.

I've been in a similar place, so I can sympathize. Are you getting any professional help (therapy, anti-depressants)?

I’ve tried to talk to my doctor about it for years, but he won’t do anything to help me. I tried some therapy years ago, but it didn’t work out much for me and it was very expensive as I had to go private.

That really sucks!

Some books that helped me get out of depression were:

Thanks! I’ve read the first of them before actually

It's been a long fucking week my dudes, and it's still not quite over yet. I am very much looking forward to relaxing this weekend.

I so feel that. Any plans?

Hopefully an apple orchard this weekend to experience the full fall vibe and get some pumpkins to carve for spooky day. Other than that? Fucking video games and couch time lol

I had back surgery 20 days ago and I'm going outside to feed the ducks with the family tomorrow, woo hoo!

The small pleasures in life. All the best on your road to recovery!

Not anything about me specifically, but I was on a plane yesterday. As the flight attendants were picking up the drinks at the end of the flight, the lady next to me in the window (I had middle) had a soda and I had a coffee. I offered to put her soda cup into my coffee cup and hand it to the flight attendant. She thanked me and the look in her eyes (we were both wearing masks) was one of pure gratitude and disbelief. I felt so bad for this woman, wondering how bad has her interaction to strangers been.

It makes you think indeed.

I just realized I'm a cruel, cruel person. And it's such a breakthrough for me. Now that I'm no longer in denial I can do something about it.

The first step to healing is acknowledgement. Good luck man its gonna be a long and tough road.

Kudos for being on the road to self-improvement! It can be hard, but it's so worth it!

That's awesome! Confronting our own flaws can be really tough, but it's so worth it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
