No. Neither gender should be given custody by default. The court should decide which parent can provide the best home for the children without giving any consideration to the sex of the parent.

There are plenty of crazy fathers out there too.

This was not the first time the grandparents had noticed abuse. Another incident over Labor day caused the grandparents to seek custody. Unfortunately, the courts take time in abuse cases and before their case could be heard, their grandson was abused again in this incident.

This is complete and utter bullshit, right here. Let me rephrase it for you...

You know what it took for me to lose temporary custody of my daughter? My ex-wife went to the court house, told them I was planning on fleeing the country with my daughter. I hadn't talked to my ex in WEEKS leading up to this (and no, I wasn't planning on fleeing the country, or the state for that matter. Divorce process was under way, and I was patiently awaiting the first hearing). It took the Sheriff's office 6 hours to serve me with the restraining order (to keep me from seeing my daughter) from the time my ex first arrived at the courthouse.

3 years later I have my ex-wife served with child support modification papers....takes them 4 days...

The story is too extreme. pulling out teeth and toenails with pliers is major torture, will create lots of noise, and you have to be a total devil.

If he had a few harmless nude photos of the 3 year old boy, arrest would be swifter, and he would probably get 15 years.

Now for pulling out teeth and toenails, 20% more then for possession of nude photos. Something is wrong here!?

And 10 000 bond for this? for the photos it probably would be 300 000 bond.

Or if mother had alleged, without proof, that he touched the boys private parts. Also would be a faster arrest and instant jail.

Heinous mutilating torture is treated more lenient then anything remotely sexual or nude. And I wonder if there will be any vigilantes threatening to kill the guy for his extreme violence.

A child is safer in a biodads house than a biomoms house, far far far safer. I think it has to do with the male protective instinct. Even in animals, males will kill their sexual rivals offspring with the clear approval of the mother animal. Humans are animals with morals. But we demonize fathers and hold single mother hood as sacred. Ever notice that stories like this are almost always about boys. I didn't even see the sex in the headline but I guessed it was male and was correct. I have read too many stories like this. Fuckin sick. I wonder how many of these women explicitly encourage their boy toys to do this. People wonder why I rage at the thoughts of a nonrelated male taking the father role after the biodad is kicked out of the house. This shit is too common not to see every single mother as a potential vector for the destruction of boys.
