In the face of calls for examination of due process for those accused of rape, be it on or off college campuses, advocates for the rights of the accused are often met with the assertion that false rape allegations are "rare", something like two percent of all rape allegations.

In addition to downplaying the frequency of false allegations, some will even flat out question the notion that a women might lie about being raped. We are urged to, by default, believe the stories of "survivors", regardless of whether or not said "survivor" has actually been assaulted.

The following is a collection of stories wherein a man has been falsely accused of rape. I have chosen cases where an investigation has cleared the man of all charges. I have included links and a brief description of the case. I actually discovered a few new cases while compiling this list.

Common themes one will note in the coverage include sympathetic angles on the accusers, omission of names of accusers, and laughably light sentences for the few women actually brought up on charges for lying about having been raped.
