It isn't a thing, it's a completely made up feminist buzzword, what you're describing is something that both genders do but feminists have made it into a gender issue in order to shame men over their existence which you seem to acknowledge but at the same time you keep trying to go along with the feminist narrative and they simply aren't compatible.

Even if I were to take the term toxic masculinity literally and believe every word that feminists claim about it at the end of the day I've found women especially feminists themselves attack men for 'expressing their emotions' far more than men.

Women seriously need to stop believing this sort of bullshit, men do not have trouble expressing their emotions, it's not just exclusively men who are 'toxic' to each other men it can be women as well. While I think you're on the right track I think like most women because of all these years of feminist indoctrination especially from an early age you still cling to some ridiculous feminist ideas that can be easily debunked.

To me, no only is toxic masculinity a load of shit generally, it seems to be a genuine attempt by feminists to cover up women's shitty behaviour towards men and pin the blame entirely on men and make it out only men do these things. Another thing they like to do in order to blame men for everything is deny the existence of women on male rape, they are full on rape deniers. Oh sure, they'll pretend to acknowledge that men can rape other men but they'll go out of their way to ignore women on male rape or act like it's such a small issue statistically they don't have to care about it.

These people are frauds, dump everything you've learned about feminism from your head because even when they might have a point about something they are horribly uninformed or try to spin the political narrative according to their politics.

Toxic femininity is often called internalised misogyny.

Ironically, this reinforces the sexist idea that women don't have agency. They are just robots programmed by the patriarchy. If a robot exhibits some misogyny, it's not the robots faults it the programming.

There recently have been a few posts dealing with toxic masculinity and why we don't like the term. But we understand what you mean and get that you didn't use it with bad intent.

Yup, you get it. The empathy gap is one of the main issue, along with the accountability gap.

I am curious of what brought you here. Feminists and the media tend to try to give us as bad of a rep as they can. I have seen people reacting to similar situations as yours by going to feminist subs asking about what the appropriate feminist take is, instead of realising that it is indeed a question of men's right and of difference of empathy.

Don't mistake me, I'm glad you came here rather than there. Just curious.

First thing I do is to question their resolve on such issues. I mean, what would she think if it was the man that drugged her, and then raped her, or just stole from her while she was out? Would she deserve that just because she was paid for the sex? Would we argue that it is not actually rape because he paid for it? or would it be what it is, rape.

I'll validate your argument. You are correct, the prostitution is one crime, the drugging is yet another crime altogether. You shoot and kill someone that is buying pot from you (when it was illegal), you still go down for murder. Pot sale is a different issues.

We can, depending on our state of mind, rationalize anything, but the fact is, drugging them and stealing from them is a crime.

Oh, and I bow to you for your integrity on this particular matter....and welcome to our nightmare.

sex work is exploiting higher male sexual drive.They make money on it. When you are young you want to fuck every 10 minutes or so.

Sometimes is crippling you especially when you see semi naked young girls.

Instead of acknowledging male biology we shamed them.Well they cannot easily suppress those urges.

My question in response is always: "What's the difference between a sex worker and a hairdresser?"

The sex worker earns money using her body and a set of skills she's developed. So does a hairdresser.
The sex worker sells a service to her clients. She doesn't "sell herself" or "sell her body", that's ridiculous. She's selling a specific service at a quoted price to clients who want that service. The hairdresser also sells a specific service at a quoted price to clients who want that service.
Feminists say, "Sex work is rape, because she wouldn't consent to have sex with her client if she wasn't being paid". Well, the hairdresser wouldn't consent to cut your hair if she wasn't being paid. Are you raping your hairdresser?
Feminists say, "Women only do sex work because they have to earn money to survive. So we should ban sex work and deprive those women of their incomes". Newsflash: hairdressers only cut hair because they have to earn money to survive. Should we ban hairdressing too and take away their incomes as well?
Feminists say, "Sex work is different, because it's icky and gross! That's why we should be able to force our views on sex workers by forcing them out of an industry that they chose work in but we hate". Personally, I think hairdressing is icky and gross. I'd never want to do it - those hair clippings get into everything! Should I be able to force my opinion onto hairdressers by forcing them out of an industry that they chose work in but I hate?

I've had quite some arguments about this with feminists, but never been able to find any logic in their arguments. If you get them worked up enough they'll sometimes blurt out the truth, the only real reason why they want to ban sex work: they hate the idea of men being able to buy sex as a service. That's it! There's no other reason, everything else they say is just a smokescreen intended to obscure their true objection to it.

We need people like you, regardless of any technicality over "toxic masculinity" that other people are complaining about.

You should ask your SO to watch "American Circumcision". It's a documentary that shows just how extremely, ridiculously unfair the world we live in currently is.

The key is it’s not men vs women. It never has been. It’s men and women vs the world. When we work together playing off each other’s strengths and weaknesses we can tackle tasks of increasing difficulty. This is why men and women in healthy relationships perform better in literally ever measurable area in life compared to their counterparts. There are forces at work in our society actively and deliberately driving men and women apart. This has political, economic, and social motivators for the few who are in charge. This is not a conspiracy theory, it is a conspiracy fact.

And why do you think that is? The media personalities and "psychologists" that peddle nonsense about toxic masculinity will never do the same for the other gender. Because toxic masculinity is a bullshit term created by leftist feminists who want to create a catch-all phrase to throw at men whenever a man does something bad. A guy at work was busted by some coworkers buying sex and with the cat out of the bag he gave candid answers to questions asked and we learned that the prostitute earned in one hour what he made in 13 hours of back breaking labour and she had complete control over the entire encounter from bringing to end. Before hearing his experience I was under the impression that women who sold sex were exploited but now I think the other person is also exploited. Prostitutes use people who want sex to obtain money and people use prostitutes who want money to obtain sex.

I think neither toxic masculinity nor toxic femininity are valid concepts. I think what you are describing is just the basic fact of our society that there is more empathy towards women than men.

CDC surveys show men get sexually assaulted just as often as women. "forced to penetrate" unwillingly is rarely discussed and is a manipulation tactic used by women to force men into sex. This rarely gets discussed because society just doesn't care.

That single thought process itself is the problem from the beginning.

Women historically exploited sexual weakness of men for money and resources. The exploiter here are women.

If women are not offering sex or are not prostitutes this issue will not be there.

The very idea that women can exploit, rape or steal men because those who are naturally expected to have sexual needs is the biggest problem to be addressed.

And effing no, prostitution is not exploitation of women, it is exploitation of men for resources by manufactured scarcity at least in current society.
