Finally. Don't apologize. This guy got up in front of a room of mostly females and told them the truth. The ladies that heard him and understood him will probably have solid careers. The ones that stopped listening and got butthurt will struggle and then leave the field and tell everyone how sexist STEM is.

Gotta love how they don't even seem to ask themselves the question "is he right? could we be discriminating against men?" but instead go straight to how he's hurting peoples' feelings and that cannot be tolerated.

It hurts my fucking feelings when I work my ass off my whole life just to have someone else get the job because she has a vagina. And they have the nerve to talk about "unconscious bias against women"!!! It's the exact fucking opposite, they're exhibiting unconscious bias FOR women.

Woman claims his cited studies have been discredited; proceeds to talk about feelings instead of demonstrating how.

Thing is, if the title of the article was actually a good representation of his stance (with the reader presumably expected to interpret it as saying that women aren't welcome in Physics), then I would agree that what he said was sexist, but then when you read the context, he seems to have been purely approaching it in a meritocratic angle, suggesting women shouldn't expect special favours or preferential treatment.

The quote at the end of the article, stating "the "trouble with girls" in labs was that "when you criticise them they cry"." hits really fucking close to home. Saw that shit way too much going through school.
