In 2010, the World Health Organization (WHO) estimated 30% of adult males worldwide (aged 15+) are circumcised.

Most of the health benefits will only profit the adult male, like prevention of penile cancer or the transmission of some sexually transmitted infections. (And the "benefits" are very debatable, depending on the studies)

So the choice to undergo the surgery should only be voluntary and after 18yo.

Possible complications: bleeding, infections, cysts, buried penis, blocked urethra, or even complete penis amputation (!)
