I've been reading quite a bit about conscription lately, particularly since the ongoing wars started and I learned that Singapore almost conscripted both men and women (third paragraph) similar to Israel but the idea was rejected as the labour costs would be too great for a growing nation. (Singapore achieved independence from the UK in 1965).

God, legal discrimination is pure opression. There is no way you can scape from that but carrying with the consecuencies, askng the society to abolish it, but the society you live in doesnt give a shit about men so....

Have you considered to refusing the be darfted, which are the consecuencies of refusing to be drafted? I know this is easier to say it from Spain, where there is no draft but its a posibility, but knowing asian criminal code is known to be hard i guess there is a lot of years of prision.

Army service must be voluntary for all, or conscription for all. Otherwise, this is sexist discrimination against men. And I call you for speaking about it on different platforms as often as possible

When I was a child, I used to wonder why almost all the couples in Singapore, both married and unmarried, had such massive age gaps (with the guys often being 5-10 years older)

Then I realised Singaporean guys enter the workforce two years late, with ladies from their age group working as their seniors, managers, and directors.

Whatever dating age gap the rest of the world has on average, you'd have to +2 years in Singapore and Korea.

To those still serving, stay strong and don't let this affect your mental. As they say, SAF stands for Serve And Fuck-off.

Have we already formed all women university teams ensuring more women in STEM and other higher education fields to get a good amount of female led all women studies that investigate how this affects women the most?

How can we support women here? Maybe a special task force that pays for luxury cruise trips to the finest hotels in the world paid for by tax money for women? I mean the men love that war stuff right? It is basically like playing cowboy or something for them right? Actually this is such a privilege for them, this would only be fair.

And of course I can hear some of those sexists already complain, but the truth is we can't draft women because ... well. They get babies - yeah that is it - and that is important for society. What do you mean not all of them do that anyway? What do you mean actually birth rates are declining anywhere? OK, but they could - surely the implication is good enough. What do you mean you have the audacity of valuing your own life? Stop asking question and help hold the system together that gives you great privileges such as PTSD, absolutely-not-service-related-injuries, getting cheated on while deployed, cutting your caloric intake needs by removing redundant not really needed body parts, and getting actually treated like women claim they are treated - that is like a literal slave with no right (no seriously, men die in training, get mistreated/abused in all kind of ways and many more fucked up shit).

Also gender does not exist, unless it is time for the draft - then fuck men. Off you go. But other than that it does not. Despite gender not existing women can do anything as good as man too, but that that does not apply here either because how could it when gender exists during drafting, which really all makes a lot of sense when you don't think about it.

Man - if the world keeps going this trajectory. One day. One guy will sit in front of a decision. Can be informing people of something important. Can be targeting something. Can be punching in a code. Can be all kind of things. But that day he will have had enough.

I was conscripted and lived to tell the tale. I don’t know what it is like now but I feel it is a necessary policy for some threatened nations. I came to respect the military.
